The news from the Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that satellite cloud images, weather radar images and lightning location showed that the thunderstorm area was developing and causing heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning in the districts of Can Gio, Nha Be, Cu Chi and Thu Duc City.
The meteorological agency forecasts that in the next 0-3 hours, thunderstorms will continue to develop, causing showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in the above areas, then expanding to other neighboring areas. Rainfall will generally be 28-140 mm, with some places over 182 mm.

"Heavy rain causes localized flooding. The risk of natural disasters due to tornadoes, lightning, and hail is at level 1. During thunderstorms, people need to be on guard against tornadoes, hail, and strong gusts of wind of about level 5 - 7 (from 8 - 17 m/s)," the Southern Hydrometeorological Station warned.

The remaining days will have no rain or insignificant light rain. The temperature will decrease at night and the weather will be cold, with light fog in the early morning. The highest temperature is from 29 - 33 degrees Celsius; the lowest is from 23 - 25 degrees Celsius. The average temperature in the region is generally the lowest from 22 - 25 degrees Celsius, the highest is generally from 29 - 33 degrees Celsius. The total rainfall in the 10 days in mid-December is higher than the average of many years, generally ranging from 20 - 80mm.
