On the morning of November 8, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Kiet commune, Dak Lak province, Vo Sy Tung, said that the leaders of the Party Committee, the People's Committee of the commune, and representatives of the province's functional agencies had just inspected the area where the No. 2 bridge leading to the H'Mong village was swept away by floodwaters, causing traffic disruption.
Specifically, in recent days, heavy rains have occurred in the commune, causing the No. 2 communal bridge in H'Mong village to be washed away by floodwaters, temporarily cutting off the travel of people in the village.

The traffic route leading to H'Mong 2 village was invested under the LRAMP project program, put into use since 2019. Due to the impact of storm No. 13 , a large amount of water from upstream poured in along with trees and garbage, blocking the flow at the bridge span. Although people tried to clear it, it was ineffective, causing the bridge to be swept away by floodwaters.
Through actual inspection of the scene, it was found that the culvert section adjacent to the inner bridge abutment, the middle culvert section about 15m long, 3m wide was washed away by water; the entire roof of the 2 slopes leading to the bridge was seriously eroded, the bridge railing was damaged about 50%, isolating the H'Mong village residential area and the commune center.

In addition, some other rural roads in the commune also suffered from landslides and damaged road surfaces. The People's Committee of the commune is mobilizing forces to temporarily reinforce them to ensure traffic safety.
On the morning of November 8, the People's Committee of Ea Kiet commune invited representatives of the provincial People's Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, the provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Civil Defense Command... to inspect the current status, fix the incident, road damage, and the drifting bridge No. 2 on the road to Buon H' Mong, Ea Kiet commune.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Kiet Commune, Vo Sy Tung, said: To overcome the problem of the No. 2 communal bridge leading to the H'Mong village being washed away by floodwaters, the People's Committee of Ea Kiet Commune has proposed that the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province and the Department of Construction consider temporarily lending 3 iron bridge girders to construct a temporary steel bridge deck, ensuring traffic for 174 households, with 705 people of the H'Mong village inside, who are currently isolated, and at the same time serving 129 households of the H'Mong village outside who have fields and production land in the inner area.
Propose that the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Agriculture and Environment consider supporting funding for Ea Kiet commune to build a temporary bridge with an estimated cost of about 2.5 billion VND to build a temporary bridge to serve the travel needs of the people before the Provincial People's Committee invests in building a new bridge; about 500 million VND to repair damaged road surfaces and landslides on the roadside to ensure traffic safety.

Regarding the long-term solution, the People's Committee of Ea Kiet commune proposed to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Construction to consider including it in the medium-term public investment portfolio plan for the period 2026-2030. The bridge is built with prestressed reinforced concrete, with a length of 33m, the road at both ends of the bridge is 500m, the bridge width is 9m, with a total estimated investment of about 30 billion VND, to ensure long-term traffic safety for people and serve the economic and social development of the locality.
