On July 11, BlackPink officially released a new song called Jump , marking their first comeback with the full lineup after nearly 3 years of inactivity.
BlackPink's explosive appeal
According to Yonhap News , Jump reached the top spot on iTunes in 47 countries, and also topped the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart. In the US, the song reached the top 3, and in the top 4 in the UK, proving the group's global appeal has not diminished.
Not only stopping at iTunes, Jump was also certified platinum on China's QQ Music platform and won the top spot on the AWA Hot Trending Songs chart in Japan, affirming its dominance in major Asian music markets.
MV Jump
MV Jump also created a big fever on YouTube, attracting about 30 million views after one day of release, becoming the biggest MV launch in 2025. The overload of visitors caused the YouTube platform to have technical problems because the real-time interactions exceeded the threshold.
Jump reached 1 million likes in just over an hour, becoming the fourth fastest K-pop girl group music video to reach the milestone in history. Within hours, the view count surpassed 9.3 million, with 1.8 million likes.
This vibrant song had its first live performance on the opening night of BlackPink's Deadline World Tour in Goyang, South Korea last weekend and immediately created mixed waves among the Blink community as well as international fans.

Billboard said Jump was written by a team of famous musicians including TEDDY, Diplo, 24, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, Jumpa, Malachiii and Jesse Bluu, with production from Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz, Zecca and Ape Drums. This is a rare time for BlackPink to venture into the hardstyle territory, a powerful, vibrant and fast-paced electronic music genre.
Each member - Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa - gets to shine with unexpected hooks, pounding beats, and distinct vocal delivery, creating a captivating, energetic, and uniquely BlackPink-esque ensemble.

The Deadline tour spans 31 shows in 16 major cities, including world-class stadiums in Los Angeles, New York, Paris and London.
Jump is the group's first release since The Girls (2023) - released exclusively for the mobile game Blackpink The Game . Prior to that, the group's last studio album was Born Pink (2022), which topped the Billboard 200.
During their hiatus, the members pursued successful solo careers, contributing to their global fame.
Jennie released her debut solo album Ruby earlier this year, and also gained attention for her role in the series The Idol alongside The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.
Lisa also released her debut album Alter Ego in 2025 and appeared in the latest season of the series White Lotus.
Rosé made her mark with solo hits like APT., a collaboration with Bruno Mars.
Meanwhile, Jisoo reached No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 with her debut single Flower (2023) and released her debut EP Amortage last February.
