During the meeting, Mr. Biden said the military aid package included ammunition, artillery, armored vehicles and training. "Together with the entire G7, we are assuring Ukraine of our support and promising that we are not going anywhere," President Biden told Mr. Zelenskyy.

According to the White House, President Biden also discussed training Ukrainian pilots to fly fourth-generation fighter jets such as the F-16. The Ukrainian president's office said Mr. Zelenskyy thanked the US for the new package and the total value of $37 billion in aid to date.
Earlier on Friday, President Biden also told G7 leaders that the US supports joint alliance training programs for Ukrainian pilots flying F-16 fighter jets.
Ukraine is asking the West for the Lockheed Martin-made planes as it prepares to launch a major counter-offensive in its conflict with Russia.
Western governments have been wary of leaving their countries unprotected by giving away too much military equipment. They have also avoided sending anything that could strike deep into Russian territory.
Speaking after the meeting on Sunday, President Biden said he had received "strong assurances" from President Zelenskyy that Ukraine would not use Western-provided F-16 fighter jets to move into Russian territory.
