Through the work of grasping the situation, managing the area, managing the subjects and using professional measures, My Thoi Ward Police strongly attacked the subjects of drug-related crimes. During the peak of the attack and suppression of crime (from August 9 to August 20), the Ward Police arrested 5 cases of illegal possession, illegal organization of use and illegal trading of drugs involving 7 subjects, seized many related exhibits and drugs; made records to send 4 subjects to compulsory drug rehabilitation; collected and tested 30 cases (13 cases were committed). Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh - Head of My Thoi Ward Police said that the Ward Police deployed management measures, strengthened the fight, thoroughly handled crimes and violations of drug laws. The police force performed well in basic professional work, professional prevention and social prevention, proactively grasped the situation in the area. In order to create a strong and decisive attack on all types of crimes, especially drug-related crimes and drug-related social evils to achieve the goal of achieving 20% of communes, wards and special zones free of drugs by 2025 and towards a ward free of drug-related evils, Chairman of the People's Committee of My Thoi Ward Vuong Mai Trinh requested relevant forces, departments, agencies and sectors to actively support and mobilize the strength of the entire political system, spreading to all classes of people to actively respond and participate in crime prevention and control.
