By 2025, Hanoi will have more than 20,000 civil servant positions.

Delegates of the Hanoi People's Council have just voted to approve the total payroll of Hanoi in 2025. Accordingly, Hanoi will have more than 20,000 civil servant payrolls and 117,000 public employee payrolls.

On the afternoon of December 10, at the 20th session, delegates of the Hanoi People's Council voted to approve the total payroll and labor contract targets of the Hanoi city government sector in 2025.

Accordingly, the City People's Council delegates voted to approve the total administrative civil servant payroll and the professional and technical contract quotas according to the provisions of the Capital Law in 2025 as follows: Administrative civil servant payroll at district level and above: 7,940 quotas. Of which, the allocated payroll quota: 7,864 quotas; Reserve payroll quota: 76 quotas.

Professional and technical contracts in specialized agencies and other administrative organizations as prescribed in the Law on the Capital: 412 targets.

Through the number of ward cadres and civil servants; commune and town cadres and civil servants; the number of part-time workers at the commune level in 2025 as follows: ward cadres: 1,056 targets; ward civil servants: 2,625 targets; commune and town cadres and civil servants: 8,632 targets; the number of part-time workers at the commune level: 8,065 targets.

Approved total number of civil servants receiving salaries from the state budget at public service units in 2025: 117,555 targets. Of which, allocated staff targets: 117,275 targets; reserve staff targets: 280 targets.
