In 2025, Hanoi Law University plans to enroll about 2,650 students, an increase of about 150 students compared to last year. The school plans to continue to consider admission based on the results of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade transcripts according to the specific combinations for each major and consider converting international language certificates.
The University of Commerce has recently proposed admission methods, including admission based on the transcripts of candidates studying for 3 years in grades 10, 11, and 12 at specialized high schools nationwide/national key high schools, graduating in 2025 according to each subject group for admission.
Similarly, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 and Forestry University also plan to enroll students based on academic records.
In the South, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade plans to consider about 15-20% of the target by considering high school transcripts.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance will also consider transcripts in 2025. Last year, the school recruited more than 6,600 students, but 70% of them were based on transcript scores. This year, it is also the first school to announce scholarships for candidates with an average transcript score of 7 or higher.
In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology plans to eliminate the method of considering transcripts for 3 semesters (grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) but still maintain the method of considering transcripts based on a combination of 3 subjects in grade 12. According to the school, the reason for the adjustment is to ensure the regulations in the draft Circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of the university admission regulations.
This draft stipulates that when considering admission based on high school transcripts, there must be the results of the second semester of grade 12 so that schools can fully evaluate the learning and training results of students in high school, while at the same time encouraging them to focus on completing and achieving the best results in their final year of school.
Meanwhile, the University of Finance and Marketing plans to recruit students by 6 methods, including considering academic records. The school's enrollment quota is kept stable as in previous years, averaging nearly 4,400 students per year.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education plans to also consider admission based on high school transcripts for candidates graduating in 2025, calculated based on the average score of the 6-semester transcripts of each subject according to the combination.
Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City also plans to have 3 main admission methods, including a comprehensive admission method based on the high school academic scores of 6 semesters according to subject groups. Previously, this school only considered the scores of 3 semesters.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry in 2025 is expected to also consider admission based on the results of the transcript, which is the average score of 3 years of high school. At the main campus, admission will only be considered for candidates who graduated from high school in 2025.
For admission to Preschool Education (college and university level), use the transcript score (average of 3 years of high school) of 2 subjects Math and Literature combined with the results of the aptitude test.
Meanwhile, a series of universities are expected to stop considering transcripts for admission from 2025. Leaders of some schools said that the reason for removing this method is because over the years, the school has realized that most of the excellent students in specialized schools (the group eligible for admission based on transcripts) are eligible for admission based on international certificates or private exam scores. Therefore, removing transcripts will reduce the virtual rate, because a candidate can use many methods.
Meanwhile, many opinions are concerned that the academic scores of high schools are often uneven, with large differences. This leads to unfairness in admission. Instead, the specialized competency assessment exam will be one of the main admission methods of the school in 2025.
