Lo The Anh in MV.

Singer Lo The Anh has just released the MV Tuong Tu Nang Vi Giam with the message of contributing to honoring and spreading Vi Giam - an intangible cultural heritage representing humanity, especially spreading it to the younger generation to be more proud of the "treasure" of folk songs of Nghe An.

The MV tells the story of a young scholar who is engrossed in his studies and has great ambitions, wholeheartedly going to the capital hoping to pass the exam to contribute his strength to the country. One day, the scholar passes by a night singing troupe, he accidentally hears Vi Giam and catches her eyes.

From then on, he fell in love with her, infatuated with her beauty and longed to go with her to the ends of the earth, with unfailing loyalty. Lo The Anh metaphorized the beauty of Vi Giam through the image of a beautiful, seductive girl, bringing a new and interesting perspective.

“What I want to convey through the song is to change a different perspective on Vi Giam folk songs and the beauty of Vi Giam through the combination of ancient folk songs and modern EDM music and rap. I am young, new to the field of composing but I really love the combination of traditional music with electronic instruments and rap," Lo The Anh shared.

Lo The Anh's Tuong Tu Nang Vi Giam was filmed in an ancient style with the setting in Nam Dan - Uncle Ho's hometown. The MV's images are both romantic and vibrant thanks to the combination of rap and choreography. Lo The Anh specifically chose to film in Nam Dan because this is not only a land of talented people but also a place of extremely beautiful scenery, the pride of Nghe An people.

Lo The Anh released a MV with a new youthful composition , Tuong Tu Nang Vi Giam , at a time when Hoa Minzy's MV Bac Bling was becoming the center of attention for the trend of honoring Vietnamese traditional culture and music among young artists. Many people thought that Lo The Anh was trying to "catch the trend".

However, he affirmed that his composition was just a coincidence at the right time. Lo The Anh spent 8 months writing the song and preparing the MV with a lot of passion.

“I myself am always proud to be a son of Nghe An, a resilient land that endures many harsh natural conditions, but the people here are hard-working, have a tradition of studiousness, diligence, loyalty and affection. Honoring the beauty of the land and people, of the culture and art of Nghe An, of the homeland and the country is also the direction of my musical career. Therefore, I am very happy when my work is integrated into the flow of young Vietnamese artists with the effort to honor the beauty and regional identity through today's music.”
