- In "Rainbow on the Horizon", many viewers commented that the character Oanh (Anh Dao) is more compatible with Tuan (Trong Lan) than you - the person who plays the role of her ex-husband. How do you feel when reading those comments?
If the audience is impressed and hates the character I play, it means I've succeeded with the role.
- If you could change, how about you play the role of Tuan of Trong Lan?
I am a new actor so I have to go through many challenges to be chosen for the main role. So I should play small roles first. At least this role of mine has a destiny, a personality and a long emotional journey. If I have the opportunity to play the main role with my wife, of course I will like it very much, especially the love scene is more comfortable and interesting to act.

- In the last episodes, the audience wondered why the director let you act out an affair scene in front of Anh Dao. How did you both feel when you acted out that scene?
I only focus on the role and do not pay attention to outside matters, and rarely read the audience's comments. Sometimes I see the audience go to the fanpage to comment, but I think that is only because I left a good impression of the role on the audience, the audience feels that Oanh's ex-husband is too bad, to the point of making his pregnant wife say goodbye. To me, that is normal when making a film.
- Every time Anh Tuan and Anh Dao appear together, they argue and express their unpleasant feelings towards each other while your wife has many romantic scenes with her co-star Trong Lan. As her husband, how do you feel when you see those scenes?
In fact, with all of Dao's roles, I often practice with the other male role. The same goes for Rainbow on the Horizon , so I always try to create chemistry to make the audience feel the most love and affection. Through each practice like that, I see that the effect on the film is very good, making the audience feel that it is real love, not pretend. I am also very happy that I contributed a small part when practicing with Dao at home to achieve such success.

- Anh Dao shared that on the first day of filming, she did not know that she would be acting with her husband. And you, when the director invited you to play the role of your ex-husband, did you know that the person acting with you would be your wife?
I had no idea I would be acting with her. Although we often shared work together, because VFC had many projects filming at the same time, I didn’t know that my wife and I were invited to act in the same movie, playing each other’s exes.
On the first day of filming, I drove her to the TV station as usual. My wife started filming at 6am and it was my turn at 10am. I was picked up by the station car and brought to the exact scene where Anh Dao was. The producers also teased me, wanting to surprise me to see if I could act. I told them to rest assured because I had memorized all the lines.
- When reading the script and getting to the scenes of arguing with your ex-wife, who did you initially imagine would play that role?
At first, my character only had a few short scenes, so I had to wait for the scriptwriter to write more. Because I hadn't received the full script, I didn't know I was filming with Dao, so I was very surprised to see her.

- On screen you two act so well, but I wonder how it is behind the scenes when you act out the arguing scenes?
Behind the scenes was quite funny! At home, I learned the argument dialogue and asked my wife: "Do you think that's enough?" She said: "It has to be more". But on set, director Vu Minh Tri reminded us to restrain ourselves because he didn't want the character Oanh to become ugly. Because according to the audience's imagination, she is very noble, daring to give birth and raise a child on her own without the help of her ex-husband. When we practiced at home, we were much more intense, but in the movie, we had to tone it down. We thought of a few more trendy lines for the character, but because the movie has very few episodes, we couldn't develop them further.
- Recently, the male lead Trong Lan shared the joy of becoming a father after completing "Rainbow on the Horizon", and when will Anh Dao turn her experience of being a mother on film into a real mother in real life? Currently, do you two prioritize your career or children more after marriage?
Even though we have plans for the future, we want to focus more on movies and careers because we are still young.
- Do you want to act in a longer movie with Anh Dao and instead of confronting each other like now, will you move on to love?
I also want a younger and more "heavy" role. We are married but I want to play a new love like myself 5 years ago.
