National Tourism Year creates highlight to attract visitors to Hue

At the regular press conference in April 2025, the People's Committee of Hue City said that in the first months of the year, the local socio -economic development situation had many positive changes. In particular, there was a strong growth in the number of tourists to Hue.

Accordingly, many unique cultural festival activities under the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 program have been organized, creating highlights, attracting many domestic and international tourists to Hue.

Since the beginning of the year, the number of visitors to Hue is estimated at more than 2 million, an increase of nearly 63%, of which international visitors are estimated at nearly 900,000; revenue is estimated at 3,650 billion VND, an increase of 41% over the same period. Notably, during the holiday from April 30 to May 4, 2025, there were more than 350,000 visitors to Hue, with an estimated revenue of 730 billion VND.

The fields of culture, health, education, science and technology continue to receive attention. Many practical cultural, festival and sports activities are organized to celebrate major events of the homeland and the country, especially the 50th anniversary of Hue liberation and the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Hue City Party Committee.

The locality also successfully coordinated the organization of the National Cycling Race and the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025. Effectively implemented programs, projects and policies to support the development of the science and technology sector...

Regarding some key tasks and solutions in May and the second quarter of 2025, the Hue City People's Committee said it will focus on coordinating to continue successfully organizing activities under the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, creating highlights and attracting domestic and international tourists.

National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 has more than 160 activities. Of which, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and central agencies organize 8 activities, Hue City organizes 62 activities and provinces and cities in the country organize 102 response activities.

With a series of activities and events held during the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, Hue City expects to attract about 4.8 - 5 million tourists; of which international visitors account for about 38 - 40% of total visitors; total revenue from tourism reaches about 10,800 - 11,200 billion VND./.
