On the afternoon of May 10, Ngo Van Hieu - a 5th year student at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy - attended the graduation ceremony of Hanoi University of Science and Technology to celebrate with Nguyen Tat Minh - a close friend who Hieu had carried to school for 10 years.

Nguyen Tat Minh graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology after more than 4 years of study with a degree in computer science , CPA score 3.23/4.

Previously, in 2020, the story of Hieu - a student who carried his friend to school for 10 years - caused a stir on social networks when Hieu's exam score almost passed Hanoi Medical University (0.25 points short), many opinions suggested that the school "specially" accept this candidate.

After the noise because the public expected Hanoi Medical University to have a special mechanism, special privileges for Hieu to enter the school, Hieu confirmed that he will enroll in Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The male student is currently a 5th year student.

Hieu said that in order to attend Minh's graduation ceremony, after class this morning, the male student took a bus from Thai Binh to Hanoi to attend on time.

At the graduation ceremony, when the name "Nguyen Tat Minh" was announced, Hieu once again carried Minh onto the podium to receive his diploma. This image moved many people present, admiring the special friendship between the two boys.

"I am very happy to attend Minh's graduation ceremony today. Five years have passed very quickly. Just yesterday we were two students who had just graduated from high school, today Minh has graduated from the University of Technology with a good degree. I am very happy because my friend can be independent without me by his side to support him, I am very reassured," Hieu said.

Hieu and Minh said that even though they have not studied in the same city for more than four years, they still keep in touch regularly.

During the first two years of school, because he did not have to attend clinical classes, Hieu often took advantage of his free time to visit Minh in Hanoi. After that, because he had to study theory, go on duty and go to practice, Hieu did not have many opportunities to meet Minh. Despite being busy, the two friends still shared their studies and life situations with each other.

"After I went to university, my father quit his job in the countryside to come to Hanoi to support me in my university studies. This was a great motivation for me to overcome difficulties. I always set goals for myself to overcome, to make my parents happy," Minh shared.

10 years carrying you to school

Minh and Hieu are two friends from the same neighborhood in Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa. Hieu has volunteered to carry Minh to school for 10 years. Their pure and noble friendship makes everyone admire and feel touched.

In the 2020 high school graduation exam, both of them achieved high scores. Hieu took the B exam, with a total score of 28.15 points for the three subjects to be considered for university admission; while Minh achieved a score of 28.10 points for the A exam.
