Vinh Phuc male student named in the team for the International Chemistry Olympiad

Trinh Duc Anh, a student of class 12A5 Chemistry, Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, was selected by the Vietnam Chemistry Association as one of four members representing the Vietnamese team to compete in the Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad, taking place in Uzbekistan from May 28 to June 4, 2025.

The Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad for students under 18 years old is organized by the Ministry of Preschool and GeneralEducation of the Republic of Uzbekistan every two years, starting from 2023. This year's competition will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with the participation of 16 countries around the world. Candidates will take 2 exams including a theoretical exam (duration 240 minutes) and a practical exam (90 minutes). The maximum total score that candidates can achieve is 110 points.

In 2023, at this competition, the Vietnamese student delegation won 4 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, ranking first overall. 2025 is the first year Vinh Phuc has students participating in this competition. Previously, Trinh Duc Anh won second prize in the national competition for excellent students in the 2024-2025 school year and was summoned by the Ministry of Education and Training to the second round of the selection of national teams to compete in regional and international Olympic competitions.
