Ea Bông Primary School (Ea Bông commune, Krông Ana district) has one main school in Knul hamlet and two branch schools in Dhăm hamlet and 10/3 village. The school has 20 classes and 485 students; the percentage of ethnic minority students is as high as 82%. Of these, the 10/3 branch school is located 10 km from the district center and has 5 classrooms and 110 students.
Many students come from very difficult family circumstances; they have to walk to school, even though the distance is quite far, and they lack school supplies. Out of compassion for these poor students, the teachers have appealed for and sought resources to support them in attending school, ensuring that no underprivileged student drops out due to difficult circumstances.
Through this collaboration, in mid-April 2025, the Economic Security Department (Dak Lak Provincial Police) coordinated with the "Loving Heart" Fund (Ho Chi Minh City) to organize the "Helping Children Go to School" program at the 10/3 school.
Here, the units handed over the completed construction, renovated the facilities (building the schoolyard, repainting classrooms), and inaugurated the "Library for Children" with over 100 books and stories donated to the school. In addition, 10 bicycles were donated to students from families with preferential policies, families of those who contributed to the revolution, and disadvantaged students studying at the school. The total value of the gifts amounted to 130 million VND. This care and support has further motivated the teachers and students at this disadvantaged school.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xinh, Principal of Ea Bong Primary School, said that the schoolyard at the 10/3 branch, which was paved with cement decades ago, is now dilapidated, lower than the road level, and lacks a drainage system, resulting in flooding and slippery conditions during the rainy season. This makes it difficult for students to get around, and the school faces challenges in organizing group activities. Thanks to the "Helping Children Go to School" program, the teaching and learning conditions for teachers and students have improved. This is a great joy and a source of encouragement for all staff, teachers, and students of the school.
Filled with excitement over the new books, H'Hira Bkrong (5B class) shared that the school only had one library at the main campus, and to read, she and her friends from the branch campus had to walk to the main campus to borrow books. Now, they no longer have to travel far; during recess, they go down to the library to read.

Besides the limited facilities, the circumstances of many students at the 10/3 school are also very special, affecting their studies to some extent. For example, Phan Thi Gia Han (a student in class 2A) is from a family whose parents separated; her mother works far away, leaving her to be raised by her elderly, disabled war veteran. Every day, Gia Han has to walk nearly 3 km to school. Or H'Mat Knul (class 2B) suffers from Thalassemia (congenital hemolytic anemia), and often has to miss school for treatment, but she is very eager to learn, quick-witted, and academically gifted. Her family is near-poor, her parents work as factory workers in other provinces, and she lives with her grandmother so she can attend school. Like the other students who received bicycles this time, H'Mat emotionally said: "I am so happy to receive a bicycle. I thank the teachers and the kind people."
Mr. Vu Anh Duc, Chairman of the "Loving Heart" Fund, said that only by going to the remote schools and handing out each gift can one truly appreciate the efforts and affection of teachers and students working together to overcome difficulties and nurture the dreams of literacy for poor students. The "Loving Heart" Fund will continue to support and organize the "Helping Children Go to School" program annually to assist poor students in disadvantaged areas of Dak Lak province, bringing heartfelt support and gifts to encourage them on their educational journey.
