Nedspice Vietnam cooperates to grow pepper sustainably in Dak Nong

On October 18, Dak Nong Farmers' Association (DAFA) and Nedspice Vietnam Spice Processing Company Limited met to evaluate cooperation in sustainable pepper development.

In April 2019, Nedspice Vietnam Company and Dak Nong People's Committee signed a memorandum of understanding to implement a program to enhance production capacity and market access for pepper growing households and groups of households in Cu Jut district.

Mr. Ho Gam, Chairman of Dak Nong Farmers' Association, appreciated Nedspice Vietnam's contribution to improving knowledge of pepper planting and care for farmers.

In December 2023, Nedspice Vietnam Company and Dak Nong Farmers' Association signed a memorandum of understanding on developing a sustainable pepper production linkage program in Dak Nong for the period 2024-2026.

Recently, Nedspice Vietnam and Dak Nong agencies have guided farmers on pepper production techniques according to RA, FSA, organic and export standards...

In Dak Nong, Nedspice Vietnam has linked up with over 1,500 households to produce pepper according to sustainable standards. The company strives to link up with about 2,000 households in Dak Nong to produce pepper sustainably in the period 2025-2030.

Of which, about 1,000 households have products certified with RA, Organic, FSA, UEBT and SSI certifications; the purchased output is about 5,000 tons.

Nedspice Vietnam will invest in infrastructure to increase purchasing capacity and carry out linkage activities with farmers.

In particular, the company aims to implement sustainable spice programs, sustainable production 4.0 such as: regenerative agriculture ; enhancing research capacity; pepper production towards NetZero. The company supports digital transformation in cooperatives, farming households and social and environmental issues...

At the meeting, Nedspice Vietnam Company and units and experts informed about the current production situation, the world pepper market and forecasts for the future.

The units clearly recognize that Vietnamese pepper is facing challenges in climate change, cultivation and processing techniques and providing solutions for sustainable development.
