Specifically, in 3 hamlets in Vinh Quang commune, there were 43 pigs, total weight 1,717 kg; in 1 hamlet in Hung Dao commune, there were 14 pigs, total weight 625 kg, infected with African swine fever, which were destroyed and buried.
Cao Bang City People's Committee has directed the People's Committees of Vinh Quang and Hung Dao communes to coordinate with the City Agricultural Service Center to supply lime powder, chemicals, and disinfect barns at livestock households.
Vinh Quang and Hung Dao communes coordinated, received, and organized vaccination against African swine fever to vaccinate pigs, in order to "surround" the outbreak of African swine fever in the hamlets, preventing the spread of the disease.
The People's Committees of communes and wards in the area must propagate and monitor people not to sell sick pigs. When sick pigs die, they must immediately report to the authorities and specialized agencies for timely handling to avoid spreading the disease.
The City Agricultural Service Center provided lime powder and disinfectants to 11/11 communes and wards in the area to spray disinfectants on livestock barns.
The People's Committee of Cao Bang city directed communes and wards in the area to strengthen the monitoring of epidemics and diseases in livestock; assign specialized staff to guide livestock farmers in applying biosafety measures, proactively sprinkle lime powder, spray disinfectants to disinfect livestock barns to prevent and stop epidemics and diseases from arising and spreading, causing economic losses to livestock households.
