Special Group Admission Ceremony
Early in the morning of the weekend, a group of students from Ngoc Thuy Secondary School (Long Bien District, Hanoi ) gathered neatly at the school gate. Wearing the green uniforms of the Youth Union, under the guidance of teachers, the students moved together to two special locations.
First, the bus took the students to the National History Museum. Here, 42 excellent students of Ngoc Thuy Secondary School were admitted to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union .
After visiting the valuable artifacts and documents from prehistoric to modern times at the museum, the new members continued to move to the headquarters of Nhan Dan Newspaper at 71 Hang Trong, Hoan Kiem district to visit the photo exhibition "The Radiant Name of the People".
The exhibition is like a miniature museum about President Ho Chi Minh with extensive and useful sources of information. The displayed images have been carefully selected, showing each important milestone in his life and career. Through this, we understand more about his contributions, and understand more clearly the spirit and responsibility of the young generation towards the country.
Nguyen Huy Hoang, class 9A6, Ngoc Thuy Secondary School
As one of the outstanding members of grade 9 admitted to the Youth Union this time, Nguyen Huy Hoang, a student of class 9A6, Ngoc Thuy Secondary School, expressed his pride and emotion when having the opportunity to see precious images of President Ho Chi Minh.
"When we were still babbling the letters 'a' and 'o', we learned about the five teachings of Uncle Ho. Through Literature and History subjects, the image of President Ho Chi Minh - a man who devoted his entire life to the country - is always present in my heart. For me, today's Youth Union Admission Ceremony is very special!", Huy Hoang confided.

Nguyen Huy Hoang is proud to be admitted to the Youth Union on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. |
Loving social sciences, Hoang always spends time studying on his own to delve into History, Geography and Literature. He also spends many hours researching documents about President Ho Chi Minh.
"The exhibition is like a miniature museum about him with extensive and useful sources of information. The displayed images have been carefully selected, showing each important milestone in his life and career. Through this, we understand more about his contributions, and understand more clearly the spirit and responsibility of the young generation towards the country," Huy Hoang said.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, teacher in charge of the Youth Union, Ngoc Thuy Secondary School shared: "According to the plan, every year, the school will organize the admission of the Youth Union in two sessions: March 26 and May 19. This year, on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, 42 students were honored to be admitted to the Youth Union at the National History Museum". It is known that this is one of the red addresses that teachers of Ngoc Thuy Secondary School often deploy for students to visit.
"As soon as we learned that Nhan Dan Newspaper was organizing a photo exhibition called 'Brightening His Name', we quickly added this important activity to the students' itinerary. The change comes from the fact that the school always focuses on educating students about patriotism and the sacrifices of their ancestors," added teacher Nguyen Dinh Vinh.
Engrave his advice
Within the framework of the photo exhibition "Brightening His Name", every day, Nhan Dan Newspaper gave away thousands of special supplements of the weekend Nhan Dan publication to visitors.
Holding the supplement "His Words - The Words of the Country" in her hand, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Binh, residing in Dong Da district, could not hide her emotion as she reread each of his instructions. Before retiring, Ms. Binh worked at the Reading Room of the National Library. Books written about him have always received the attention of many generations of readers.
"The image of President Ho Chi Minh depicted in the 1890 issue of Nhan Dan is extremely vivid. He wears a dark brown shirt, holding Nhan Dan Newspaper - the prestigious Party newspaper from the past to the present. The content of the newspaper mentions the great October Revolution in Russia. What lingers in me the most is probably his frown, as if he is struggling when thinking about the people and the country," Ms. Nguyen Thanh Binh analyzed.
According to Ms. Binh, the color, font style, and font size of the supplement are all unique, eye-catching, and attractive to readers. "The quoted content is all President Ho Chi Minh's conclusions about culture, society, and the noble virtues that each person needs to cultivate," Ms. Binh said.

The exhibition attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit. |
Traveling to Hanoi in mid-May, Ms. Tran Thi Huong, residing in Nha Trang city, happened to visit the exhibition space "Bright Name of People" while walking around Hoan Kiem Lake. Accompanying her were her husband and daughter.
Holding her little daughter in front of Uncle Ho's portrait, Ms. Huong was moved: "Every time I look at the pictures and read the stories about him, I get choked up. This is also an opportunity for me to teach my child to understand more about the history of the Vietnamese people. Hopefully, meaningful events like this will be held more often."
"The exhibition is very interesting. Before that, I knew about President Ho Chi Minh through historical documents. President Ho Chi Minh is highly appreciated and respected by many foreign scholars," Ronen, from Israel, Huong's husband, told reporters.
In the mind of Thu Trang, a second-year student at the University of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), each quote mentioned in the supplement is a valuable lesson and experience that President Ho Chi Minh passed on to the next generation.
"I will always remember his advice: 'Whether Vietnam becomes beautiful or not, whether the Vietnamese people can step up to the stage of glory to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's great powers or not, depends largely on your studies.' Every time I read those words, I clearly feel my responsibility towards the country. That is the motivation that urges us to try to study and practice every day," Thu Trang shared.
The exhibition "The Shining Name of the Man" makes the most of modern technology to create an engaging digital experience. Through QR codes, viewers can access the "Ho Chi Minh and the ideology of 'Taking the people as the root'" page, access the Virtual Museum of President Ho Chi Minh with the youth, and enjoy a music podcast with immortal songs that have stood the test of time, praising Uncle Ho's contributions, personality, and sacrifice.
Viewers can “touch” priceless artifacts about Uncle Ho associated with youth work, as a form of traditional fire-breathing for today's young generation to learn and follow his example, building a strong country in the new era as his last wish.
