Agribank has 2 new deputy general directors

On October 18, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development ( Agribank ) announced the decision of the Governor of the State Bank on the appointment of two deputy general directors. Accordingly, the State Bank decided to appoint Mr. Do Duc Thanh - Head of Agribank's Human Resources Department and Mr. Pham Chi Thanh - Chief of Agribank Head Office, to hold the position of Deputy General Director of Agribank. The State Bank also appointed Mr. Pham Van Minh - Head of the Secretariat of the Board of Members - to hold the position of member of Agribank's Supervisory Board.

The appointment of additional senior personnel aims to complete the apparatus for Agribank in the context of the retirement of two deputy general directors, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong and Mr. To Dinh Ton. After the above appointment decision, the executive board of Agribank increased to 10 members, of which Mr. Pham Toan Vuong holds the position of general director. The board of supervisors has 5 members, headed by Mr. Tran Trong Duong. Regarding the business results in the first 6 months of the year, the bank recorded a consolidated pre-tax profit of VND 13,269 billion, down 2% compared to the same period last year. Thereby, Agribank ranked 5th in the ranking of banks with the largest profits in the first half of the year, after MB, BIDV , Techcombank and Vietcombank. Agribank is a bank with 100% state capital. At the end of June, Agribank's total consolidated assets were more than VND 2.08 million billion, up nearly 2% compared to the beginning of the year.
