For criminal cases, the collection and evaluation of evidence is carried out comprehensively, in accordance with the provisions of law. In the fields of civil, marriage - family, commercial business, labor and administration, case files are carefully constructed, ensuring transparency between the parties.
A highlight of judicial reform is the model of online court sessions combined with experience sharing, which is regularly organized. The two-level People's Court has published 148 judgments and decisions on the Electronic Information Portal, contributing to enhancing publicity, transparency and facilitating people's supervision. Each experience sharing court session is not only an opportunity for judges to exchange professional knowledge, but also a channel for learning practical experience, helping to improve trial skills.
Mr. Luong Van Cuong, Chief Justice of the People's Court of Bac Kan province, said: The Party Committee of the Provincial Court has organized and closely managed the work of cadres. Regularly held conferences to deploy, review, and exchange information; issued annual key plans on internal affairs, anti-corruption - judicial reform and emulation and rewards. Coordinated with the Supreme People's Court to provide online professional training, draw experience from court sessions, organize professional activities, ensure policies and regulations and launch emulation movements. Inspected the implementation of Regulation 120/QD-TANDTC on handling responsibilities, supervising ethics, monitoring canceled and revised cases and reporting periodically. Participated in developing and giving opinions on the project to rearrange and streamline the apparatus; thoroughly instructed civil servants to stabilize their ideology and comply with the Party's assignments.
In 2024, the two-level People's Court accepted 1,734 cases of all kinds; resolved 1,663 cases; reaching a rate of 96%. The number of cases annulled or amended due to subjective reasons was 09/1,663 cases (accounting for 0.54%). The Court organized 61 experience-sharing sessions/36 judges, and organized 31 online trials. The trials fully implemented the procedural procedures prescribed in the procedural codes, ensuring fairness, democracy and strictness. Judges announced 611 legally effective judgments and decisions that must be published on the Supreme People's Court Electronic Information Portal and interacted and exploited the application of virtual assistant software to serve professional research with 6,145 interactions, asking 157 questions on the software...
In addition to focusing on expertise, the People's Court of Bac Kan province always pays attention to the organization of staff. In the first quarter of 2025, the whole sector appointed 05 civil servants and mobilized and seconded 10 cadres to meet the personnel needs of units with difficulties. Civil servants, judges, and clerks are given the opportunity to participate in professional training courses organized by the Supreme People's Court and localities, helping to improve their legal knowledge and trial skills.

Mr. Luong Van Cuong, Chief Justice of the People's Court of Bac Kan province emphasized: "Judicial reform is not only about process innovation, but more importantly, it is necessary to have a team of cadres with moral qualities, capacity and responsibility. Therefore, we put training, fostering and mobilizing personnel as our top priority."
In order to meet the increasing demands of judicial reform, the Provincial People's Court has proactively invested in modern and economical information technology equipment for trial. The procurement of servers, cameras, network systems, and online court equipment has been carried out systematically and effectively. Under the direction of the Central Government, the construction of new headquarters of the Provincial People's Court and Bach Thong District People's Court has been temporarily suspended to focus resources on technology equipment.
In addition, the two-level People's Court also coordinates with the Department of Justice, the Legal Aid Center and the Bac Kan Provincial Bar Association to deploy free legal aid services, especially for the poor, the elderly and residents in remote areas. Thereby, the legitimate rights and obligations of citizens in the litigation process are fully protected.
