Tuong Ha Commune Cultural, Sports and Tourism Promotion Festival 2025

(sonla.gov.vn) On December 13th and 14th, the People's Committee of Tuong Ha commune organized the 2025 Cultural and Sports Festival and Tourism Promotion Day. Attending the festival were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Hoang Thi Doi, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, and localities; and a large number of local people and tourists.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the festival.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province and the delegation presented flowers to offer congratulations.

Held for the first time after Tuong Ha commune restructured its administrative apparatus, the festival is considered a highlight in the effort to preserve culture in the era of integration. More than just a festival, it is also an opportunity to affirm the strength of unity of the local Party committee and government, and the solidarity of the people of all ethnic groups in Tuong Ha commune.

For days prior, the residential areas and community organizations of the commune actively prepared, bringing to the festival the most exquisite aspects of the cultural identity of the ethnic groups. This collective effort contributed to the overall success of the event, laying a solid foundation for Tuong Ha to continue building its cultural life and developing the local economy and society.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the festival atmosphere became even more vibrant with a series of unique activities. A highlight was the poetic and lyrical performances of Dang Muong and Khap Thai folk songs right on the Da River, offering a unique artistic experience for the people and tourists.

In addition, at the festival, locals and tourists enthusiastically visited and shopped at stalls displaying characteristic agricultural products; and also cheered on lively folk games such as tug-of-war, stick pushing, and carrying water back to the village. Furthermore, the elaborately decorated cultural spaces by schools and villages vividly recreated the lifestyle and identity of the ethnic groups in the area.

The first Tường Hạ Commune Ethnic Culture Festival in 2025 was a great success. This was not only an opportunity for the people to meet, interact, and honor traditional cultural values, but also an important chance to promote the image of Tường Hạ as a unique, friendly, and hospitable place. This will be a foundation for the locality to effectively exploit its potential advantages, aiming for sustainable tourism development in the future.
