Nghe An receives 35 public educational institutions

(Dan Tri) - With the acquisition of 35 additional public educational institutions, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training has 108 affiliated educational institutions.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An , said that the unit received 35 more public educational institutions according to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee.

In addition to the previous 73 public schools, Nghe An Department of Education and Training received 35 more public educational institutions, including vocational secondary schools, ethnic boarding schools and continuing education - vocational education centers.

The transfer of public service units to the Department of Education and Training is being carried out in the context that Nghe An province is implementing a two-level local government model, while merging a number of functions and tasks from the old Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to the Department of Education and Training.

Previously, many vocational colleges and vocational education and continuing education centers in the area were under the "dual" management of the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, causing many difficulties in operation, enrollment and training.

Transferring these units to the Department of Education and Training will facilitate professional activities, investment in facilities and enrollment.

Boarding secondary schools for ethnic minorities, formerly under the People's Committees of districts, are now transferred to the Department of Education and Training, which will create unity in management, improve the quality of teaching and learning, and at the same time expand equal access to education for students in mountainous areas.

Along with the arrangement of public educational institutions, the People's Committee of Nghe An province also assigned 16 new groups of tasks to the Department of Education and Training, including managing the team of teachers, managers, civil servants and workers in public educational institutions.

Nghe An Department of Education and Training is decentralized in recruiting, receiving, mobilizing, seconding and transferring cadres and teachers throughout the province, thereby increasing initiative and flexibility in managing human resources in the education sector.
