On April 22, Da Nang police are detaining Le Phu Cao (32 years old, from Loc Tri commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien - Hue province) to investigate a robbery at a bank branch on Dong Da street, Hai Chau district.

According to the police, after committing the crime, Cao moved through many routes, changed all the clothes he wore when committing the robbery, and even changed the license plate of his motorbike. The suspect threw away his old clothes, plastic gun, and electric baton in the grass on the side of Duong Lam Street (Son Tra District).
Police have accessed hundreds of security cameras on the streets to track down the robbers. Authorities have identified the suspect’s motorbike parked in front of a house on Dong Ke 6 Street (Lien Chieu District). The female owner of the motorbike said that her boyfriend, Le Phu Cao, often borrowed the motorbike for use.
On the evening of April 21, when the suspect returned to his rented room, the police arrested Cao with evidence of about 590 million VND.

At the police station, suspect Le Phu Cao confessed that he borrowed his girlfriend’s motorbike and changed the license plate to use it to commit robbery. This young man used a plastic gun and electric baton to threaten both the security guard and the bank staff in order to rob money.
Robbed about 600 million VND, the suspect used it to shop and pay off debts of about 50 million VND, leaving the rest in the motel.
Previously, as Dan Tri reported, at noon on April 20, a young man wearing a jacket and a mask, using a gun-like object, stormed into a bank branch in Da Nang to threaten the staff there and rob money.
More than a day later, the robbery suspect was caught.
