Utilizing talent effectively and improving the living standards of teachers.
Ms. Muon Thi Lan Huong, Principal of Mac Dinh Chi Primary School ( Kon Tum Ward, Quang Ngai Province), said that on August 20, 2025, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development. This is considered a continuation and development from Resolution 29-NQ/TW (2013) of the 11th Party Central Committee, affirming the determination to fundamentally and comprehensively reform Vietnam's education system to meet the requirements of integration and development in the new period.
According to Ms. Huong, Resolution 71 is a strong, decisive, and groundbreaking action plan that promises a real transformation of the education sector. The resolution not only removes institutional, mechanism, and policy bottlenecks but also creates momentum for the country to break through in the new era, with the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
According to Ms. Huong, one of the highlights of the Resolution is the special attention paid to the teaching staff. The State will have policies to improve the living conditions, working conditions, and support for the learning and professional development of teachers. At the same time, it will develop a teacher training program with a clear career path, and establish mechanisms to attract and retain talent from both within and outside the country, thereby gradually forming a high-quality teaching staff that meets the requirements of international integration.
Furthermore, the Resolution emphasizes increasing the autonomy of schools, encouraging educational institutions to take initiative and responsibility in governance, and improving the quality of teaching and learning. Infrastructure and the educational environment will continue to be invested in and modernized, creating favorable conditions for innovation and the comprehensive development of learners.
Digital transformation and international integration

Resolution 71 also identifies education and training as a decisive factor in the future and destiny of the nation, with a focus on applying digital technology in teaching, research, and educational management. The entire population will be given the opportunity to access and effectively utilize modern technology, gradually narrowing the knowledge gap with the world. International cooperation in the field of education will be expanded, creating opportunities for exchange and learning, and affirming Vietnam's position in the region and globally.
At Mac Dinh Chi Primary School, for the 2025-2026 school year, the school has 28 staff and teachers and 426 students, including 19 students from ethnic minority groups. The school has set the theme for the school year as: "Unity, creativity, striving to successfully complete the tasks and goals of innovation; consolidating and improving the quality of education and the school's standing."
In line with the implementation of Resolution 71, the school organizes teaching and learning activities to ensure the goals and requirements of the 2018 General Education Program, while simultaneously building a "happy school" model suitable to its actual conditions. Solutions such as leveraging internal resources, mobilizing the support of parents, the community, and social organizations, promoting digital transformation, integrated teaching, creative experiences, STEM education, etc., will be concretized and implemented synchronously.
Ms. Huong emphasized: "Resolution 71 brings new confidence and motivation to the education sector. This is a guiding principle for schools, including Mac Dinh Chi Primary School, to strive for innovation and improve the quality of education, contributing to training a generation of dynamic, creative Vietnamese citizens, ready to integrate and develop in the new era."
