"Oil and Gas People's Affection" at the Social Protection Center of Ca Mau province

On December 12, in Ca Mau, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ), Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union (VGTU) and Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC) jointly organized the program "Sentiment of Oil and Gas Workers" at the Social Protection Center of Ca Mau province.

Attending the program, on behalf of Ca Mau province, there were Mr. Nguyen Duy Thanh - Member of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Business Association; Mr. Mai Thanh Dong - Deputy Head of the Movement Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province.

On Petrovietnam's side, there were Mr. Le Manh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group; Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Group, Chairman of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union.

On PVCFC's side, there was Mr. Nguyen Duc Hanh - Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Trade Union; and representatives of the leaders of the Company's departments/offices.

Petrovietnam, Vietnam Oil and Gas Union and PVCFC presented support to the Social Protection Center of Ca Mau province.

At the program, Petrovietnam, Vietnam Oil and Gas Union and PVCFC presented support to the Ca Mau Province Social Protection Center. The gifts included equipment for daily life and care for the elderly and children such as 4 air conditioners, 1 freezer, and other gifts. In addition, the program also supported medical expenses and provided support to the Center's staff with a total cost of nearly 200 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung said that along with production and business activities and socio-economic development of the country, Petrovietnam always carries out the mission associated with the 5 words "An", including social security, to contribute with the Party, State, authorities and people of localities to take care of the lives of vulnerable groups and people in difficult circumstances in society.

In particular, in Ca Mau province, where Petrovietnam has investment activities, over the years the Group has always received support and assistance from the local government and people. To express gratitude for the support and assistance of the leaders and people of Ca Mau province, as well as to carry out the mission and social responsibility of Petrovietnam and the "Loyalty" culture of the Oil and Gas people, over the years the Group has carried out many social security activities related to healthcare, education, housing construction, community houses, rural bridges... especially support for families and people in difficult circumstances.

On behalf of the locality, Mr. Tran Hoang Vu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Director of the Social Protection Center of Ca Mau province, expressed his gratitude to the sponsors for their care for the lives of the elderly and children at the Center, thereby demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and social responsibility of the Oil and Gas people.

Mr. Tran Hoang Vu said that the Ca Mau Provincial Social Protection Center is nurturing and caring for 91 subjects, including 43 elderly people who are Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of policy families and lonely elderly people with no place to rely on. Among them, the oldest person is 91 years old, 4 of them are party members. The center is also nurturing 48 abandoned children, children with disabilities, and children in difficult circumstances. Children of school age are all sent to school according to each grade level.
