TPO - The muddy roads of Thu Duc City (Binh Duong province) have been upgraded by residents donating land and contributing money, creating a civilized, clean, and beautiful urban area.

On December 26th, Phu Hoa ward (Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province) held a ceremony to inaugurate a transportation project invested in by the local government with the joint efforts of the people.

Accordingly, the inauguration of Alley 3 (Group 5, Block 7, Phu Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), with a length of 362m and state investment of over 1.9 billion VND, was held. During the construction process, the local authorities held meetings with residents to gather their opinions, and the residents voluntarily agreed to donate land and trees to expand the entire route, valued at approximately 2.5 billion VND.

Another road project, located in alley 385, Le Hong Phong Street (Ward 8, Phu Hoa Commune, Thu Dau Mot City), is 419 meters long and received over 1.9 billion VND in state funding. During the construction process, the local authorities held a meeting with residents, who voluntarily agreed to donate land for the road widening project, valued at nearly 2.9 billion VND.

The total area of ​​land that residents have agreed to donate for the expansion of the two aforementioned roads is estimated to be worth nearly 5.4 billion VND in compensation.

As one of the households actively responding to the land donation for road construction, Mr. Hung, representing the household in Ward 7, Phu Hoa Commune, Thu Dau Mot City, said: "The construction of a clear and clean road to serve the people's travel needs is something everyone agrees with. Even if the donated land is worth billions of dong, we would still accept it."

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Secretary of the Phu Hoa Ward Party Committee, said that the recently completed road construction projects are one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the Party Congress at all levels. The timely completion of these road projects creates a joyful atmosphere for the people to welcome the Lunar New Year.

According to the leaders of Phu Hoa ward, in addition to the aforementioned projects, the locality had previously completed and put into use a 2,100-meter-long, 4-meter-wide concrete alleyway in residential area 4, costing nearly 4 billion VND. This was a socialized project, with residents donating land and contributing money for construction.

The completed projects, in addition to serving the transportation needs of the people, also reflect "the will of the Party and the aspirations of the people," promoting the strength of great unity and consensus among the people to effectively implement the movement to build a cultured and civilized urban lifestyle in Thu Dau Mot city.
