Since the evening of August 28, when the mainstream media published information that the Politburo agreed to the policy of giving gifts to all people, many people in Ha Tinh quickly shared and discussed enthusiastically on social networks, in community groups, and residential groups.
Sharing on Facebook, Nguyen Van Hao proudly said: “A small gift but with great meaning, showing the Party and State’s concern for people’s lives. So proud and touched!”
Facebook account Hoa Dang expressed: “Never before has Independence Day been so special. Thank you to the Government for always thinking of the People! This activity has spread solidarity and strengthened trust among the People.”
Sharing the same pride, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, head of Vinh Trung village, Toan Luu commune, said: “Last night, I shared this information on the village’s zalo group. Within a few minutes, dozens of people sent messages expressing their joy and gratitude to the Party and State.
This is a testament to the positive spread and shows the leaders' concern for the most ordinary people. It is not because of the amount of money, big or small, but because of the heart of the Party and State towards the people. This gift is like a word of gratitude, a sharing, making us believe more in the leadership of the Party."
Not only was she happy to receive a special gift, like many other people, Ms. Nguyen Thi Du (Thanh Sen ward) was filled with pride and excitement when the Party and State spent tens of thousands of billions of VND to give gifts to the people.
Ms. Du was moved: "I am happy that the country is developing and constantly innovating, only then will social security be more guaranteed and the special gift on Independence Day does not stop at material value but also shows the deep concern of the Party and State leaders for all classes of people, always putting people at the center of all policies".
As for Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao (Ha Linh commune), the information about the Independence Day gift made her recall her childhood memories: “40 years ago, around 1985, I was just an 8 or 9 year old child following my parents to a collective Independence Day meal. National Day was a very special occasion, after the cooperative distributed meat and fish, the production team gathered together to cook and share a collective meal. Those were meals of solidarity, warmth and affection. Now, the 100,000 VND gift from the Government reminds me of those old days - simple, but full of meaning”.
More preciously, after the wave of pride, another trend also began to emerge. Not only receiving for themselves, many people chose to spread and act for the community. Many citizens and young people shared that they would donate the meaningful gift from the Government to support the Charity Fund, support Cuba, and support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 5.
Although the gift of 100,000 VND is not enough to change each person's life, during the great holiday, it has brought humane messages of gratitude, sharing, connection and arousing the national spirit in each Vietnamese person. However, although excited about the gift, people also need to be vigilant, follow information from local authorities, official press and not provide personal information online to avoid being exploited and scammed.
People absolutely do not follow the instructions of any strange calls about how to set up a social security account online; absolutely do not click on strange links, do not install applications of unknown origin; do not provide ID card number, CCCD, bank account, password, OTP code to anyone via phone, text message, Zalo, Facebook... If you receive a suspicious message or call or if you cannot set up a social security account yourself in the VNeID software, please immediately contact the commune or ward police for support.
According to the Prime Minister's telegram, to promptly implement the Politburo's directive, the Prime Minister requests:
1. The Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, based on the direction of the Politburo in Official Dispatch No. 17129-CV/VPTW, shall closely coordinate and immediately implement the review of gift recipients and transfer the gifts to people by appropriate means ( bank transfer or directly ) as soon as possible, to be completed before National Day September 2, 2025.
Gift level: 100,000 VND/person, for all people to celebrate Independence Day.
2. The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently report to competent authorities for decision before August 29, 2025 to arrange appropriate funding sources for implementation, ensuring state budget balance.
3. The State Bank of Vietnam directs relevant units and commercial banks, especially commercial banks where the State Treasury opens accounts, to ensure the payment and cash systems meet the requirements of giving gifts to people in a timely and smooth manner, without missing anyone and without duplication.
4. The People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities shall direct relevant agencies and units in their localities to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Bank of Vietnam to organize timely and safe delivery of gifts to people, ensuring progress as required.
