On the first day of the long holiday, instead of spending time sleeping in to make up for the hard days at work, Mr. Do Hoang Huy (Kim Tan ward, Lao Cai city) woke up early to buy breakfast for the whole family, then called the members to watch the parade on TV. The family members happily ate breakfast, sipping fragrant sticky rice tea, the children also eagerly waited in front of the TV screen. Mr. Huy and his wife skillfullytaught their children patriotism and national pride through each historical event of the country.

Mr. Do Hoang Huy shared: Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, our family is together, reviewing the glorious milestones of the nation. My wife and I feel the responsibility to remind and educate our children - the future generation of the country - about the proud tradition of fighting for national liberation of previous generations.
The family of Ms. Le Thi Huong (Coc Leu ward, Lao Cai city) also has its own way to express joy on the anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. Her family wore red shirts with yellow stars to drink coffee, then checked in on some streets of Lao Cai city. All family members expressed joy and happiness when they were able to spend all their time together during the holiday.

Ms. Le Thi Huong said: Without the opportunity to go to the South to experience the atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, my family celebrated this day in a meaningful way. That is, wearing red flag shirts with yellow stars, looking at the streets of Lao Cai, seeing my hometown develop day by day, I feel very happy and proud.

Not choosing to travel or leave the city during the holiday, Tran Van Trung's family stayed in Lao Cai on April 30. For lunch today, the whole family set up an outdoor dining table, under the fluttering red flags with yellow stars. Each member also stuck a small flag on their cheek to show their patriotism and national pride. The meal was fun, they talked about what they knew about the historical event 50 years ago that brought the North and South together as one family, they reminded family members to cherish the value of peace, to live up to the sacrifices of the previous generations.

In the joy of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, ethnic minorities from Sa Pa, Muong Khuong, and even far away Lai Chau also came to Lao Cai city. Passing through the streets decorated with flags and flowers, seeing Lao Cai wearing a fresh, bustling, civilized coat, they could not help but be amazed. Fathers and mothers took advantage of their days off to take their children for a walk in the park, or meet at a familiar coffee shop to chat and recall the story of peace today.

Lao Cai on the national reunification day is very brilliant and beautiful. Lao Cai people have their own way of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, but they all share the same patriotism, national pride, and constant efforts in working and studying to build their homeland Lao Cai to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
