"In the wallet there is a citizen identification card, driver's license, vehicle registration and motorbike insurance along with more than 4 million VND which is the money for goods and my savings," said Mr. Hoang.

After that, Mr. Toan returned to the area where he lost his wallet many times but only found an empty wallet, with no cash or documents inside.

Many people saw him grimacing, with a haggard face, no money in hand, no identification papers, so they posted information about finding his wallet on social media.

About a day later, with the guidance of people in Loi Dong residential area, Mr. Hoang returned to the place where he dropped his wallet and found the documents that were left behind.

"Because I lost my wallet, I had no money for food or gas, so I had to borrow 500,000 VND from acquaintances nearby," said Mr. Hoang.

The story of a mat seller who lost his wallet was shared on social media. Many people sympathized with him and wanted to send him some money to help him overcome his difficulties. However, because Mr. Hoang did not use a bank account, some young people met him directly to support him.

"I was wandering around selling goods when I received a call from a young man. He asked where I was and gave me 300,000 VND. Two days after losing my wallet, from a post on social media, a businessman also supported me with 4 million VND, equivalent to the entire amount of money I lost.

In addition, a niece also supported me with cash when I had no money on me," said Mr. Toan.

Mr. Toan said that when he lost his wallet, he only wanted to find his documents. However, thanks to the spread of the online community, he received a lot of help. Thanks to that, he had money to pay for goods and send money back to his hometown for his wife to pay for the school fees for his two children.

"I feel very lucky to have good people help me. When I had nothing to eat, many people who read the article on social networks gave me food and water for free.

I don't use social media so I don't know how to thank everyone. Through Dan Tri newspaper, I thank netizens and young people who shared information and supported me," said Mr. Toan.
