Man seriously burned at helmet factory

On July 19, Hoc Mon District Police (HCMC) are investigating and clarifying the case of a man with severe burns discovered by locals at a helmet manufacturing facility in the area.

Earlier, at around 10am the same day, people working inside a helmet factory on Bui Cong Trung Street (Nhi Binh Commune, Hoc Mon District) heard a loud noise. When people checked, they saw a man with his clothes on fire in the smoke exhaust area.

Local forces tried to extinguish the fire on the man and the fire in the area. At the same time, people took this man to the hospital for emergency treatment before Hoc Mon District Police arrived at the scene to rescue.

Where the incident occurred

Locals said the burned man was an ironworker hired by the helmet shop owner to repair the exhaust pipe. He and his team had been working there for several days when the incident occurred.

The People's Committee of Nhi Binh Commune (Hoc Mon District) confirmed that the burned man is currently receiving emergency treatment at the hospital. At the time of the incident, the ironworkers were said to be welding.
