The Yorkshire-based carmaker is known for introducing the first performance parts specifically for Land Rover when it started operations in 2000. By 2003, the first Twisted TD5 90 demo car was on the road, and by 2009, they were producing a large number of custom cars specifically for the Land Rover Defender.

Then, in 2015, Fawcett decided to buy a large number of the last of the Defender range, completely new.

To this day, people are willing to spend up to £220,000 (VND6.9 billion) just to buy one of these cars, bringing Charles Fawcett huge profits.

These cars are specially modified to suit the specific requirements of their customers. Fawcett and Twisted are also in the process of selling the remaining cars. They are virtually unaffected by the weather, and all of the cars for sale have less than 30 miles on the clock – practically brand new.

All were based on the XS Spec, the top-spec version of the Land Rover Defender at the time, and Fawcett went all the way to the factory when he decided to buy them.

“ I went to see the Defender production line in Solihull, to meet the people who build these cars. To meet the men and women who build them. They are all carefully selected based on chassis number, date of manufacture and registered in 2016 - after production ceased. This makes them some of the last and increases their collectability. Each car is unique and one-of-a-kind after the upgrades.”
