This contributes to spreading the spirit of "Buddhism - nation - socialism" of Vietnamese Buddhism.

Support disadvantaged students

Despite her old age, Venerable Thich Nu Kim Son, the Chief of the Buddhist Nuns' Branch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Dong Nai province, and Deputy of the Management Board of Quan Am Monastery (Bien Hoa ward) still attended and directly presented gifts to encourage the needy and students to overcome difficulties in programs organized by localities.

As in the relief operations to help people in the Central and Northern regions affected by floods, Venerable Kim Son was present in the delegation of the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to directly give gifts to support people, including students and their families.

Venerable Kim Son said: During the recent charity event, after learning that many students in the Central provinces were facing difficulties in their studies and were at risk of having to drop out, she contacted the school to support 5 students, each with 1 million VND/month during their entire study period.

In addition, every year, Venerable Kim Son regularly carries out education promotion activities at the call of localities and the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai province. According to Vice President of the Provincial Red Cross Society Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh, every year during the launch of the Humanitarian Month organized by the Provincial Red Cross Society, Venerable Kim Son donates money and bicycles for the organizing committee to give to students who overcome difficulties.

As one of the students who received gifts from Venerable Kim Son at the launch of Humanitarian Month 2025, Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoang (primary school student, Tam Hiep ward) said: I am very happy to receive gifts of encouragement to overcome difficulties and study well from Venerable Kim Son. I will try to achieve good academic results, in response to everyone's support.

Also actively participating in the activities to encourage learning and talent in recent times is Venerable Thich Nu Nhat Khuong, the Chief of the Buddhist Nuns' Branch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai Province, and Abbot of Quang Minh Pagoda ( Binh Phuoc Ward). Since the beginning of the year, practicing the spirit of compassion of Buddhism, Venerable Nhat Khuong has actively participated in charitable activities such as building bridges to facilitate the travel of people, including students in many areas separated by small streams. At the same time, students in difficult circumstances are also supported so that their families can build solid houses, receive scholarships, etc. to help them go to school with peace of mind, with a budget of more than 2.6 billion VND.

According to Venerable Nhat Khuong, in the coming time, she will continue to maintain this activity with the hope of helping students from poor families have good learning conditions.

Bring joy to poor families

Along with the work of promoting education, Buddhist nuns in Dong Nai province also connect social resources to build houses of love to help the needy soon have a place to live; at the same time, give love through gifts to support people at many times of the year.

According to Venerable Thich Thien Tri, Chief of Office of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, every year, Dong Nai Buddhism supports the entire cost of repairing and building 70 new solid houses in response to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels. At the same time, monasteries and the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha also contribute a part to join hands with the authorities at all levels to build solid houses for the people. In particular, Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Tri, Deputy Head of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Abbot of Dai Giac Pagoda (Tran Bien Ward) participates very actively. For example, when the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha supported Dien Bien province to build 22 solid houses, 5 of these houses were contributed by Venerable Dieu Tri. At the same time, every year Venerable Dieu Tri contributes to build at least 1 solid house in the province.

To promptly encourage the active work for the community of Venerable Dieu Tri, Venerable Kim Son, and Venerable Nhat Khuong, recently the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province proposed the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Dong Nai province to commend these three individuals for their active contributions to activities for the poor in 2025.

Venerable THICH THIEN TRI, Chief of Office of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province

Every year, Vu Lan Festival, Buddha's Birthday, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Lunar New Year are four major charity events of Dong Nai Buddhism. At each time, Venerable Dieu Tri coordinates with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, communes, and wards to give away 300-500 gifts worth from 500,000 to 1 million VND each to support the people.

As for Venerable Kim Son, every year she supports the construction of at least one solid house for the poor in the area; at the same time, she participates in fundraising campaigns for house construction launched by the Provincial Red Cross, contributing to creating more and more solid houses for the poor.

Among the families supported by Venerable Kim Son to build a house is Mrs. K'Nhung's family (Ma ethnic group, Dinh Quan commune). According to Mrs. K'Nhung, because she has no land to produce, she and her husband work for hire to raise two small children. The job is unstable, so the family cannot build a solid house on their own. Therefore, when Venerable Kim Son, associations, organizations, and local authorities help her with the cost of building a house, she is very happy.

Similarly, Venerable Nhat Khuong has also actively participated in disaster relief work by organizing relief trips, giving gifts, and providing financial assistance to people in the Central provinces after storms, with a total budget of more than 3.2 billion VND. In addition, in 2025, Venerable Nhat Khuong will also maintain food support for a number of single-parent families and people with disabilities in especially difficult circumstances...

With their active contributions to the community maintained regularly in the past time, many times Venerable Dieu Tri, Venerable Kim Son, Venerable Nhat Khuong were commended by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial Red Cross Society.
