Mr. Le Khac Hong, head of the T3 Terminal Construction Project Management Board of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, shared that there were opinions on whether to carry out the T3 terminal project or not because Long Thanh airport was being developed.
However, the travel demand of the people is very high. Before the outbreak of COVID-19, Tan Son Nhat airport was congested both in the air and on the ground. Terminal T3 was completed in a record time of 18 months, becoming the largest and most modern domestic terminal in Vietnam at present.

Architect Nguyen Truong Luu shared an interesting story about the design of two Hung King Memorial Temples. and City Children's House.
Mr. Luu designed and built the Hung King Memorial Temple in the way that Southern descendants look back to the North, remembering their ancestors in the style of the Southern people who are open-minded and bold in expanding their territory.
The City Children's House is covered in green so that children can blend in with the trees and nature. The architecture does not destroy the image of the surrounding green environment.

Mr. Le Van Dung, representative of the City Children's Hospital project, said the hospital has up to 1,000 beds, helping people in Long An , Tay Ninh and the Mekong Delta areas to have easier access to medical examination.
"The Children's Hospital has a hospital architecture in the park, creating an open, airy space to help children who come to see a doctor to remove psychological complexes," Mr. Dung emphasized.
Phu My Hung urban area is considered a model of modern and sustainable urban planning. Deputy General Director of Phu My Hung Corporation Nguyen Dinh Tho said that the urban area was developed in 1993. After more than 30 years, it is still developing according to the policy.
"The urban planning philosophy has been consistent from the beginning: sustainable development orientation, people are the main focus. Currently, Phu My Hung has over 50% of green space and water surface area serving the community," said Mr. Tho.
Revitalize rivers and canals
During the exchange session, student Dao Chan Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, asked about the development orientation of typical works to increase the value of urban identity, in order to develop the city's socio-economy and cultural tourism.

Architect Nguyen Truong Luu shared: “When talking about Ho Chi Minh City, people immediately think of canals. In recent years, we have had a policy of reviving the rivers and canals that are the identities that create open spaces for Ho Chi Minh City.”
According to Mr. Nguyen Truong Luu, from 1954 to 1975, in 21 years, the old Saigon architecture created a type of architecture called "tropical architecture".
In recent years, "double-layer, double-skin" architecture has begun to appear, meaning that the architecture has an additional shell to reduce the direct radiation of the sun on the building. He humorously compared it to the way women wear an extra coat when going out for protection.
