Fishing boat QNg 95657TS brings fishermen to DK1/21 platform. |
At around 8:30 a.m., DK1/21 rig received an emergency distress signal from fishing boat QNg 95657TS, captained by Mr. Bui Van Ngọt (from Binh Tri, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province). There were 65 fishermen on board, including Mr. Tieu Viet But (born in 1970, from the same hometown) who had a work accident while fishing, resulting in a head injury.
Only about 5 nautical miles from the platform, the fishing boat was quickly guided by the combat-ready force at the DK1/21 Platform to come ashore. With a sense of urgency and responsibility, the medical team quickly performed first aid on the victim: checking blood pressure, disinfecting the wound, applying 4 stitches, anti-inflammatory and pain relief.
Proceed to treat and bandage the fisherman's wounds. |
According to the initial diagnosis, Mr. But suffered a severe impact that resulted in lacerations on both sides of his head, soft tissue damage, and difficulty in moving. After receiving medical treatment, the victim's health stabilized and he was able to return to the ship at 9:30 a.m. the same day, with the enthusiastic support and encouragement of officers and soldiers of DK1/21 Platform.
The incident once again shows the role of the DK1 Platforms as a "steel fortress" and "solid fulcrum in the middle of the ocean" not only in the task of protecting sovereignty , but also as a reliable support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea.
