Ram cake, rarely sold at Dong Ha market

Ms. Hoang Thi Nam, the owner of the banh beo stall, said that she has been selling here for 15 years. In the past, the price was only 2,000 VND/plate, but now it is 10,000 VND, and the "high-end" ones are only 15,000 VND.

"There is no food in this market that costs more than 30,000 VND. Most of the people here are laborers, so they can't sell for a higher price. Sometimes people work all day and only get a few coins to eat, so how can they bear to sell at such an exorbitant price?", Ms. Nam said.
