On October 18, the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (Vung Tau City, former Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) announced that it had reported the results of verifying the information of a tourist who complained that "singing karaoke for 2 hours cost 28 million VND".

According to tourists, on the evening of October 9, a group of 7 people went to the LV karaoke bar on Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Vung Tau Ward to sing. After 2 hours, the bar calculated the bill of 17.5 million VND and the waitress tip of 10.5 million VND, for a total of 28 million VND. Tourists said that the bar had mislabeled many items and overcharged.

After receiving the information, on October 12, the working group of Vung Tau Ward People's Committee verified and inspected the compliance with the law in the business field of the above karaoke business establishment.

The owner of the establishment, Mr. LQB, said that there were about 10 customers who came to sing that night, and the customers voluntarily used the service. After nearly 2 hours, the customers asked to pay, and the establishment printed a bill of 10,519,000 VND.

In addition, the customer voluntarily tipped the staff 7 million VND, the total payment was 17,519,000 VND. The customer paid and left, without any comments at that time.

Through inspection, the functional team recorded that the facility had posted full prices (karaoke services, snacks, beer...); the price on the invoice matched the listed price; the total amount on the invoice (both printed and handwritten) matched the transfer transaction provided by the customer.
