The signed contract ensures compliance with current contractor selection regulations, which is the basis for NMI to soon implement the production plan expected from mid-March 2025. This is the first security paper contract signed between NMI and Q&T in 2025 and the fourth contract signed between the two parties.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong - Chairman of the Board of Members of NMI introduced the strengths of money printed on polymer material compared to other materials such as being more durable, cleaner, safer and having a higher level of anti-counterfeiting. NMI has invested in modern machinery and equipment, a team of highly qualified engineers, along with the support of partners, ready to perform well when required.
For a long time, NMI had to buy substrate paper from only one supplier. Now NMI has another choice, a polymer substrate paper supplier with 100% domestic capital, Q&T Company.
According to Q&T Chairman Luong Ngoc Anh, Q&T Company's security paper production technology is the most advanced technology currently researched and developed by the company with a total investment of more than 50 million USD, granted a patent by the Ministry of Science and Technology and recognized and protected by Vietnamese law. This technology has not been commercialized in the world and is being applied for the first time in Vietnam.

This technology not only improves the efficiency of the financial system but also contributes to the country's sustainable economic development."
Q&T High-Tech Polymer Material Factory is equipped with the most modern and synchronous machinery and equipment system designed and manufactured by leading companies from Germany, Italy, the United States, etc. The product scale is 1,300 tons/year (phase 1), 2,600 tons/year (phase 2) to meet domestic demand and move towards export.
During a visit to Q&T's factory in early July 2024, Mr. Nguyen Van Long, General Director of NMI, affirmed that Q&T Company has made great strides in technology, making its mark on the map of polymer-based paper supply. This is truly a source of pride for Vietnam.
