Iron Smelter: Blast furnace pig iron output reached 105.4%

In the third quarter of 2023, the Iron Smelting Plant ( Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company) produced over 46,161 tons of blast furnace iron, reaching 102.5% of the plan; sintered ore reached 67,476 tons, exceeding the plan by 3.8%.

In the first 9 months of 2023, the Factory produced over 137,000 tons of blast furnace pig iron, reaching 105.4% of the annual plan; 201,618 tons of sintered ore, reaching over 100% of the annual plan; maintained stable jobs for nearly 500 workers, with an average salary of 7.2 million VND/person/month; production ensured safety for people and equipment.

In the past, the Iron and Steel Plant encountered some difficulties due to the unstable quality of raw materials and fuels, especially coke, at many times; ash content (A), sulfur (S) and CSR and CRI indicators at many stages did not meet requirements; blast furnace and sintering equipment had many locations that had not been invested in and were degraded...

However, thanks to the synchronous implementation of technological and equipment solutions and efforts to reduce raw material and energy consumption, the Factory has successfully completed the targets on output and product cost.
