Cua Tung Composer: Unique work forgotten over time

Built in the early 90s of the last century, Cua Tung Composer House stands out next to the "beach queen" Cua Tung with its unique architecture. After many years of disuse, this house gradually deteriorated and fell into oblivion, but now it has become an interesting check-in spot for young people.

Located next to Cua Tung Strait for the past 35 years, Cua Tung Creative House, belonging to the former Quang Tri Province Literature and Arts Association, although covered with the old color of time, still retains its unique architecture. The house is no longer in operation, becoming deserted in a very beautiful location, causing many people to express regret.

According to Mr. Ho Thanh Thoan, former Vice President of the Literature and Arts Association of the former Quang Tri province, Cua Tung Writers' House used to be the place of activities of more than 50 members of the Literature and Arts Association of the former Quang Tri province during the period when it was newly separated from Binh Tri Thien province.

"After the province was separated in 1989, in 1990, the leaders of the association asked for funds to build the Cua Tung Composer's House. By 1992, the construction was completed, and the house was designed by architect Le Huu Thang. The house had been in operation for about 15 years and was then degraded. At this time, more funds were needed for repairs, but there was no money, so it was no longer used," Mr. Thoan recalled.

Mr. Ho Thanh Thoan still retains many memories and documents about the period of living at Cua Tung Composer's House.

When it was first built, Cua Tung Composer House was located on an empty land along Cua Tung beach in Vinh Quang commune, which later became Cua Tung town (old Quang Tri province) and is now Cua Tung commune (new Quang Tri province). The house was designed in an eye-catching architectural style like many blocks put together. The back faces the entire Cua Tung beach, which is known as the "queen of beaches".

This place is sought out by young people to take photos because of its old-fashioned feel.

Although no longer in operation, Cua Tung Composer House has now become an interesting check-in spot for tourists, especially young people, as the house is now covered with a "coat" of time with mossy, old walls combined with unique architecture and a peaceful scene with a full view of the poetic Cua Tung beach.
