Cua Tung Creative House: A unique structure forgotten over time.

Built in the early 1990s, the Cua Tung Writers' House stands out alongside the "queen of beaches," Cua Tung, with its unique architecture. After many years of disuse, the building gradually deteriorated and fell into oblivion, but it has now become an interesting check-in spot for young people.

Located next to the Cua Tung strait for the past 35 years, the Cua Tung Creative House, formerly belonging to the Quang Tri Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, despite being covered in the patina of time, still retains its unique architecture. The building is now inactive and has become deserted in a very beautiful location, causing many to express regret.

According to Mr. Ho Thanh Thoan, former Vice Chairman of the former Quang Tri Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, the Cua Tung Creative House was once a place of activity for more than 50 members of the former Quang Tri Provincial Association of Literature and Arts in the period immediately following its separation from Binh Tri Thien province.

"After the province was divided in 1989, in 1990 the leaders of the association requested funding to build the Cua Tung Creative House. Construction was completed in 1992, with the building designed by architect Le Huu Thang. The building operated for about 15 years before deteriorating. At that time, additional funds were needed for repairs, but there were none, so it has been out of use ever since," Mr. Thoan recalled.

When it was first built, the Cua Tung Creative House was located on an empty plot of land along the Cua Tung beach in Vinh Quang commune, which later became Cua Tung town (formerly Quang Tri province) and is now Cua Tung commune (newly Quang Tri province). The building was designed in an eye-catching architectural style, resembling many interconnected geometric shapes. The back of the building faces the entire Cua Tung beach, known as the "queen of beaches".

Although no longer in operation, the Cua Tung Writers' House has become an interesting check-in spot for tourists, especially young people, as the building is now covered in a layer of time with mossy, old walls combined with unique architecture and a peaceful view overlooking the dreamy Cua Tung beach.

Thirty-five years ago, the only place along the Cua Tung beach was the Cua Tung Creative House. After decades, many houses and shops have sprung up there.
