On the afternoon of July 14, An Khang Pharmacy officially signed a memorandum of understanding with 8 Universities and Colleges training in Pharmacy within the framework of the program "Step forward to the future - 10-point pharmacist". Launched in 2019, this is an initiative that connects the academic training environment and practical practice, demonstrating a commitment to accompany students on their journey to become professional pharmacists.
The goal of the signing is to build and spread a sustainable internship model, linking theory with practice for students.
Through this cooperation, Pharmacy students from the schools will have free internships at An Khang's system of nearly 350 GPP-standard pharmacies. Each student will be closely monitored and guided throughout by a team of highly specialized pharmacists, trained in a standard practice environment - where customers are the center.
Not only providing internship evaluation, An Khang also aims to improve service quality from the root, working together with the school to build a clear roadmap from before - during - after the internship, closely following reality and linking with professional capacity. In addition to consolidating professional knowledge, students are also trained in soft skills such as consulting, communication, and situation handling - essential factors for serving customers but rarely studied in depth in the classroom. In particular, students who perform well also have the opportunity to become official staff at An Khang immediately after graduation.
For many years, An Khang has helped many generations of Pharmacy students learn about practical work at a modern, professional GPP-standard Pharmacy system.
Thus, the program “Step up to the future – 10-point pharmacist” not only opens up internship, practical training and recruitment opportunities for pharmacy students, but also establishes a systematic coordination model between schools and businesses, aiming at the common goal of developing a generation of pharmacists with good expertise, professional ethics and a spirit of dedication.
Affirming the role of the enterprise in the training ecosystem, Mr. Doan Van Hieu Em - CEO of An Khang pharmacy chain - emphasized at the signing ceremony: "This is not only a cooperation agreement, but also an important milestone in the journey to realize An Khang Pharmacy's commitment to bring to the Vietnamese people transparent, convenient and kind healthcare services. And the journey to build a generation of pharmacists who are not only solid in their expertise but also have a bright career is the most sustainable way for An Khang to carry out this mission of serving the health of the community" .
This statement also consistently reflects the operating philosophy of An Khang - a business that chooses kindness as the root in community health care. With the principle of putting people at the center, An Khang clearly defines four core values in all activities: patient health is the center, transparency is the foundation, kindness is the standard, and serving with all the heart.
These principles are specifically demonstrated in a series of recent meaningful activities of An Khang - from not charging for dose cuts, implementing the feature of directly looking up drug data right on the website, to integrating the An Khang pharmacy system into the VNeID application and supporting quick appointment booking on Medpro...
An Khang believes that the combination of the school's educational philosophy and the business's professional culture will contribute to forming a generation of pharmacists who are not only good at their jobs, but also have ethics, courage and a spirit of dedication to the community.
For the system to operate properly according to these values, the human factor is always given top priority by An Khang. Here, pharmacists are not simply drug sellers, but are the ones who directly preserve and spread the culture of caring service. Proactively coordinating with universities to train, guide and support students early is therefore not only a human resource development strategy, but also a way for An Khang to fulfill its social responsibility in a practical and sustainable way.
In the last 6 months of 2025, An Khang also aims to open 120 - 150 more stores, especially in residential areas lacking quality medical services. This creates hundreds of internship and job opportunities for pharmacy students nationwide.
From a broader perspective, the cooperation model between An Khang and training schools not only solves the human resource problem for businesses, but is also a way for An Khang to contribute to nurturing the future of the pharmaceutical industry with its own strengths: a transparent, professional operating system that takes kindness as its foundation. When the classroom is connected to reality, the future generation of pharmacists will not only have solid expertise but also have the courage to practice with the knowledge and practical experience they have accumulated.
