Musician Luu Thien Huong: "I don't want to let personal feelings affect students"

Sharing with PV Dan Viet , musician Luu Thien Huong said that the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music has conducted a mediation session between her and lecturer, Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen. "Due to my commitment to the school, I cannot disclose the details of this mediation session. Official information will be provided to the press by the Conservatory of Music. For my part, I have decided to continue teaching at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music following the persuasion of the school's leadership. Besides, I am in the process of guiding graduating students and do not want to let personal feelings affect their academic results."

Luu Thien Huong shared that she has been teaching as an expert at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music for 5 years now, and has the largest number of students in charge here. In recent days, her parents and students have expressed their desire for her to continue her work. Regarding the issue of allowing students to use "mastered beats", the female musician revealed that the Conservatory will soon have regulations on the above issue.

On her personal page, musician Luu Thien Huong has deleted the clip of Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen throwing a phone at someone, and also deleted the post denouncing and requesting the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music to handle the female lecturer.

Meanwhile, Dan Viet reporters repeatedly contacted Mr. Hoang Ngoc Long, Acting Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, but received no response. Previously, this person said that the school's leaders held an urgent meeting and agreed that the form of disciplinary action against lecturer Minh Huyen was a reprimand.

Recently, musician Luu Thien Huong caused a stir among netizens when she posted a long article condemning her colleague, lecturer, Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen, who is currently working at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. According to Luu Thien Huong, this lecturer had slandered and insulted her and her students. She was even hit in the face with a phone by this person. The female musician said that this was a serious violation of professional ethics, so she immediately stopped teaching, reported the incident to the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and is waiting for the handling of the above case.

Regarding the above incident, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Training, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the Ministry has received a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music on the settlement of the complaint of lecturer Luu Thien Huong. The Ministry has requested the Conservatory to handle it strictly so as not to affect the image of theeducational institution, especially the image and reputation of the lecturers in the school.
