Musician Nguyen Van Chung, the father of the song "Continuing the story of peace", is causing a fever on various platforms (Photo: Facebook character).
Among them, there are opinions from literature and music teachers asking about the lyrics "Our ancestors fell down so that our future generations could exchange for peace". According to them, the pair of opposite words "old days - today" would be better and more appropriate than "old days - today" in the original.
Nguyen Van Chung said that when he composed the song "Continuing the story of peace" , he always hoped to have a connection between the past and the present.
"Our ancestors devoted their youth, ready to sacrifice even when they were not sure when the country would be at peace. That makes their sacrifice even more noble and great.
So I use the word "later", which shows the unclear definition instead of "today". Like our parents often say "in the past, mothers worked hard and lived frugally so that their children would have food and clothes in the future", he analyzed.
Accordingly, he uses the word "sau" with the sound "s" to help the singer have "space" to breathe, handle the song more softly and deeply.
In addition, musician Nguyen Van Chung also explained the phrase "amidst the smoke of war". The phrase is taken from "smoke and fire of war", symbolizing the patriotic tradition of both soldiers in wartime and peacetime.
Since the song didn't have much space, he prioritized choosing the most symbolic phrase to write.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, musician Nguyen Van Chung said that by the evening of May 8, the song " Writing the continuation of the peace story" had reached more than 4 billion views on all platforms.
