The Japanese organizing committee for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Japan-Vietnam diplomatic relations has started the study tour "Discovering our city" for children - the future owners of the country.
Accordingly, children will visit places considered symbols of Vietnam-Japan cooperation and learn about their roles, thereby helping them to be more interested in and have a deeper understanding of the relationship between the two countries.

In this project, students from Vietnamese and Japanese schools will visit important places related to Japan in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City that are normally not accessible, such as the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City metro line (the station is about to be inaugurated), factories of Japanese companies, etc.
The purpose of the project is to help children and people pay more attention to the Vietnam-Japan relationship.
The first tour was held in April, about 40 students of Chu Van An Secondary School visited the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam.
Here, the children learned about the work at the Embassy, Japanese culture, and the relationship between Japan and Vietnam through quizzes and the experience of trying on kimono.
After playing and learning, the children had a question and answer session with Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio and the Embassy staff.
Video of the tour has been uploaded to the website: https://japanvietnam50.org/vi/kids
From the above tour, tours will be organized monthly until the end of December this year and stories about these trips will be posted on the special website commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Through the tours, the project creates opportunities for children - who will play a role in developing the Vietnam-Japan friendship in the future - to learn more about the good relationship between the two countries and help them develop an interest in Japan.
