SEA Games 33 Diary, December 13th: Karate and Taekwondo win gold medals consecutively.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - After three Karate athletes won gold medals, Tran Thi Anh Tuyet continued the success for martial arts when the female Taekwondo fighter won a gold medal in the women's 57kg category.

List of medals won by Vietnamese sports on December 13th.

HCV (2): Hoang Thi My Tam (Karate, 61kg women); Nguyen Thanh Truong (Karate, 84kg men); Dinh Thi Huong (Karate, 68kg)

HCB (2): Le Thi Mong Tuyen, Phi Thanh Thao, Nguyen Thi Thao (shooting, women's 10m air rifle team); Vo Van Hien (Karate, men's 75kg);

HCĐ (1): Le Thi Mong Tuyen (10m shooting, women's individual air rifle)

On December 12th, Vietnamese athletes continued their successful performance, winning 10 more gold medals, bringing their total to 24 gold medals after three days of competition.

Today (December 13th), Vietnamese athletes are competing in 30 sports, many of which are finals. Swimming, athletics, martial arts, shooting... continue to be expected "gold mines" for the Vietnamese sports delegation.

Notably, track and field athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh will compete in the first of her three registered events at the SEA Games, the 5000m race. The golden girl of Vietnamese athletics has won 4 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games and currently has 12 gold medals across all SEA Games. Nguyen Thi Oanh has a great opportunity to surpass the record of Nguyen Thi Huyen (13 gold medals at the SEA Games) and become the "Queen of Athletics" of Vietnamese sports.
