Many businesses adjust electricity loads to save money.

One of the programs that Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) is successfully implementing is coordinating with local businesses to implement load adjustment (DR), especially during peak hours.

In the context of peak hot weather, leading to high demand for electricity consumption, primary fuel sources are increasingly depleted, the growth rate of load is increasing, but the efficiency of electricity use is still low.

Vietnam is facing major risks in ensuring electricity supply security. Providing solutions to adjust electricity load and reduce maximum electricity usage during peak hours, making electricity saving a regular habit of every person, every household, every business and production establishment are priority issues.

Load balancing brings many benefits to businesses.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa - Production Director of CP Hanoi Food Factory shared: " In the past, through many forms such as documents and direct exchanges, Chuong My Electricity Company introduced us to the Electricity Load Adjustment Program (DR). This is a major policy of the Government , Ministries, Branches and EVNHANOI, so when we were encouraged to participate, we completely agreed ."

Representatives of CP Hanoi Food Factory signed to participate in the load adjustment program.

The company will have a plan to reduce the load capacity during peak hours when required. At the same time, it will prioritize production arrangements during off-peak hours, taking advantage of the time frame with low electricity prices while still maintaining output, so the adjustment does not reduce the factory's production capacity. In addition, the company has also implemented many power-saving solutions such as: Installing frequency converters for large motors; using LED lights for lighting... thereby reducing electricity costs by 50 million VND/month compared to before.

CP Hanoi Food Factory considers this program effective and suitable for businesses to participate, all aiming at the common goal of stable electricity use.

As one of the large-scale companies in the production of mechanical components in Chuong My district, Mr. Do Quang Quyet - Deputy Director of Human Resources Administration of JK Vietnam Industrial Joint Stock Company said: " The biggest benefit of participating in the DR program is to proactively minimize the impacts in the production process when there are special situations that cause power supply interruptions.

This is actively studied to optimize the production line, ensuring compensation for downtime.

To produce mechanical components in large quantities, hundreds of high-power electric motors are needed. This entire system of machines consumes more than 500 million VND in electricity each month.

However, since participating in EVNHANOI's load adjustment program, this unit has coordinated with Chuong My Electricity to implement many technical solutions to reduce electricity loss, saving 3% of monthly electricity bills compared to the previous period, as well as avoiding overloading the electricity industry during peak hours .
