Many solutions to promote service and trade development

According to the Provincial Statistics Office, in April 2025, the province's industrial production index (IIP) increased by 6.15% over the previous month and increased by 14.39% over the same period in 2024, which is a positive signal showing the recovery and growth of the economy .

In addition, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the first quarter of 2025 reached more than 45 trillion VND, up 7.2% over the same period last year. These figures show the development potential of the trade and service sector in the province.

One of the important factors that helps promote the development of trade and services is the synchronous infrastructure planning. The province has focused resources on developing fast, efficient and sustainable service industries, ensuring basic services with increasingly high quality, planning the supply points of goods, wholesale and retail of the whole region in Tho Tang town, Te Lo commune and Trung Nguyen commune, areas with potential for trade development, helping to connect businesses and consumers, creating a driving force to promote the local economy.

Along with that, the development of a modern distribution system, expansion of the network of trade centers, supermarkets, wholesale markets and exhibition fairs is being implemented. Investment in modern transportation, warehousing and logistics services will help improve the efficiency of production and consumption of goods in and outside the province.

E-commerce is becoming an inevitable trend in the digital economy and the province is taking strategic steps to take advantage of this. The Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision approving the project to develop e-commerce in the province until 2025, with the goal of building a fast-growing, healthy and sustainable e-commerce market.

According to the project, the province will focus on building Vinh Phuc's product brand on major national and international e-commerce trading floors, meeting the increasing demands of socio-economic development.

By the end of 2025, Vinh Phuc aims to become one of the top 15 provinces in the country in terms of e-commerce index, with an expected growth rate of 30/100 points.

Specific solutions include supporting businesses in digital transformation, applying technology to business operations, building local e-commerce platforms connecting businesses with domestic and foreign markets, and enhancing human resource training, helping businesses and people access new technologies.

With the rate of people using the internet and making electronic payments increasing by 10% compared to last year, the province has a solid foundation for e-commerce to develop faster.

Besides infrastructure and e-commerce, tourism is one of the key economic sectors of Vinh Phuc, with development orientation following the model of "Quality service - Differentiated products - Sustainable efficiency".

The province is focusing on exploiting traditional cultural values, while creating its own style with new and unique forms of tourism. With the number of tourists reaching more than 3.5 million in the first 4 months of 2025, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2024, Vinh Phuc is affirming its position as an attractive destination in the region.

Solutions to promote tourism include investing in tourism infrastructure, upgrading resorts, hotels and tourist attractions, developing sports and entertainment services, creating more options for tourists, and promoting tourism, making Vinh Phuc a leading destination for resort tourism.

The plan to expand the chain of high-end hotels and entertainment areas has been approved, with a total investment of up to VND3,500 billion, expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

To ensure sustainable development, the province has implemented many policies to support businesses, helping them access markets and expand their business scale. Trade promotion programs, connecting businesses with domestic and foreign partners are being promoted.

In addition, the province also focuses on improving the business environment, simplifying administrative procedures and enhancing the application of information technology in management, helping businesses operate more conveniently, reduce costs and improve business efficiency.

In particular, the province is testing a digital management model, helping to optimize the business licensing process and shorten the processing time by 50% compared to before. This is one of the important steps to help businesses quickly implement production and business plans, making the most of market opportunities.

Vinh Phuc is making strong strides in promoting service and trade development. With solutions for infrastructure planning, e-commerce development, tourism promotion and business support, the province is gradually building a modern and sustainable economy.

At the current growth rate, the province can achieve service and trade growth of up to 9.5% in 2025, helping to create more jobs, improve people's lives and promote the comprehensive development of the local economy.
