
The exhibition is held to honor the role of cinema in recording historical milestones, reflecting the formation, development and integration process of Ho Chi Minh City, a major cultural, economic and artistic center of the country.
Through archival footage and images, the exhibition brings to the public a sense of a dynamic, creative city that always looks towards the future while still preserving its own identity.

The exhibition will introduce images taken from a number of documentaries, feature films, reports... with characters, stories, and settings filmed in Ho Chi Minh City and some beautiful landscapes, heritages, landmarks, and cultural identities of the city.
The beauty of nature and people introduced through the images displayed at the exhibition will be colorful pieces, bringing viewers many emotions about Ho Chi Minh City, a city that always looks towards the future while still preserving its own unique values, thereby contributing to spreading and promoting the culture, landscapes, and tourism development potential of Ho Chi Minh City.

The exhibition is expected to introduce more than 200 images taken from documentaries, feature films, reports... along with many documents collected from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association.
The exhibition is divided into three parts: The period of Southern Liberation and National Reunification (1945 - 1975) with typical films such as Saigon Joyful Victory , Season of Monsoon , Saigon Special Forces , Wild Fields...
The period of national construction and development (1976 - 1985) through works such as Saigon in the early days of liberation , The city of each of us , The bitter taste of love ...
The period of innovation, integration and development (1986 - 2025) with familiar and modern films such as Saigon I Love You , You and Trinh , Mai , Saigon Missing Corner...

The exhibition also applies new technology with a virtual reality (MR) experience space, a 360-degree photobooth and a booth distributing free movie tickets, helping audiences interact and explore the content of the Vietnam Film Festival in a vivid way.

The exhibition is expected to open on the morning of November 21 at Lam Son Park in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will be attended by artists, directors, screenwriters, photographers and a large audience of cinema lovers.
