Many attractive activities at the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of Dien Bien district

At the National Historical and Cultural Relic Site of Ban Phu Citadel, the People's Committee of Dien Bien District, Dien Bien Province has just opened the 10th Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival. This is an activity to celebrate the 270th anniversary of the victory of Hoang Cong Chat's army, liberating Muong Thanh (1754 - 2024), towards the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory and responding to the National Tourism Year 2024.

The Dien Bien District Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival is a large, annual activity that has been maintained by the locality since 2012 to present, aiming to preserve, promote, introduce and advertise typical cultural values, traditional sports of 11 ethnic groups, as a continuation of the series of activities of the Dien Bien Provincial Ban Flower Festival in 2024.

Mr. Bui Hai Binh, Chairman of Dien Bien District People's Committee said: The festival has the participation of more than 500 artisans, actors, athletes from 21 communes of Dien Bien district; in addition, there are also artisans and actors from provinces such as: Bac Giang, Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen ...

Coming to the festival, people and tourists can visit and experience activities such as: Mass art festival, ethnic costume performance, xoè dance, community stalls, sports competitions, folk games; visit booths displaying and promoting cultural tourism products, handicraft products, ethnic cuisine, agricultural products, local OCOP products; items associated with the cultural life and community activities of ethnic groups in and outside the province.

The 10th Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Dien Bien district will take place until April 3.
