Many attractive activities at the Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Dien Bien district

At the National Cultural and Historical Relic Site of Ban Phu Citadel, the People's Committee of Dien Bien District, Dien Bien Province has just opened the 10th Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival. This is an activity to celebrate the 270th anniversary of the victory of Hoang Cong Chat's army, liberating Muong Thanh (1754 - 2024), towards the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory and responding to the National Tourism Year 2024.

The Dien Bien District Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival is a large, annual activity, maintained by the locality since 2012 to present, aiming to preserve, promote, introduce and advertise typical cultural values, traditional sports of 11 ethnic groups, as a continuation of the series of activities of the Dien Bien Provincial Ban Flower Festival in 2024.

Mr. Bui Hai Binh, Chairman of Dien Bien District People's Committee said: The festival has the participation of more than 500 artisans, actors, athletes from 21 communes of Dien Bien district; in addition, there is also the participation of artisans and actors from provinces such as: Bac Giang , Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen...

This is an opportunity for artisans, actors, and athletes to meet, exchange, strengthen national solidarity, mobilize the joint efforts of all people in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity...

Coming to the festival, people and tourists can visit and experience activities such as: Mass art festival, ethnic costume performance, xoe dance, community stalls, sports competitions, folk games; visit booths displaying and promoting cultural tourism products, handicraft products, ethnic cuisine, agricultural products, local OCOP products; items associated with cultural life, community activities of ethnic groups in and outside the province.

The 10th Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of Dien Bien district will take place until April 3.
