Many good activities from the grassroots

These days, more than 2,300 workers of Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company (Dinh Quan District) are working hard because of the abundant orders from enterprises until the end of 2025. To encourage the spirit of workers in the company, the grassroots trade union has just paid a bonus of over 440 million VND to workers, an average of 100-200 thousand VND/person per worker (depending on seniority). Previously, the company paid over 500 million VND in bonuses to workers for their productivity in March.

At Dona Pacific Company Limited (Trang Bom District), to improve the spiritual life of employees, the grassroots Trade Union organized the 2025 Football Tournament, attracting 10 teams with over 100 athletes to compete. After nearly 2 months of competition, workers not only had a healthy playground, but also exercised, showing their passion for sports after stressful working hours.

According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, since February 2025, Trade Unions at all levels in the province have launched cultural and sports activities to celebrate major holidays of the country and the Trade Union organization. Thereby, creating conditions for workers to restore their labor force, improve their cultural and spiritual life to continue working and producing, contributing to the overall development of enterprises and localities.

Ms. Dang Thi Thom, Chairwoman of the company's grassroots union, said that this year's movements for workers have been promoted since the beginning of the year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day and International Labor Day (May 1). In particular, sports tournaments have attracted a large number of workers to register to practice and compete. In addition to the sports tournaments, on April 15, the union organized a gift giving event for all employees working at the company; organized a delegation to visit and support workers in difficult circumstances and those suffering from serious illnesses.

Grassroots trade unions are simultaneously organizing exciting sports and cultural activities, attracting a large number of workers to participate.

A representative of the Tan Phu District Labor Federation said that the unit had just coordinated with the District Culture, Information and Sports Center to successfully organize the 2025 Women's Volleyball Tournament. Participating in the competition, 18 teams from grassroots trade unions brought viewers great plays and beautiful matches. The football tournament is the first activity in a series of activities to care for union members this year.

More motivation for workers

Benefiting from the life care models implemented by the Union, many union members and workers expressed their joy and excitement.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, a worker at Soltec Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach District), said that the company invested in a soccer field to serve the sports training needs of its employees. In addition, every day, workers exercise for 15 minutes before going to work. Thanks to that, their health is guaranteed and their mental life is improved.

Ms. Ha Thi Thu Trang, a worker at Longwell Company Limited (Dau Giay Industrial Park, Thong Nhat District), expressed her excitement at being recognized with gold by the company. Ms. Trang has worked at the company for 10 years and always strives to complete the assigned work excellently. This meaningful gift is a beautiful memory of the time she devoted her youth to the company.

Ms. Trang said that her goal is to continue to work hard to have another opportunity to receive this award after 15 or 20 years. She hopes that the company and the Union will have more practical activities to help employees stay connected and improve production efficiency.

The representative of the company's grassroots union said that in addition to annual activities to care for employees, this year, the company organized a gold ceremony to thank workers with 10-20 years of seniority, each person from 1-1.5 taels of 24K gold. Specifically, employees who have worked for 10 years will receive a certificate of merit and a souvenir gift of 1 tael of 24K gold (SJC); employees who have worked for 20 years will receive a certificate of merit and a souvenir gift of 1.5 taels of gold. This is a meaningful activity carried out annually by the company; to date, nearly 100 workers with 10-20 years of seniority have received gold from the company.

Many workers said that most of their time is spent on production work at the company. After a tiring day at work, returning to their dormitory, workers only know how to entertain themselves by using smartphones and watching TV. Therefore, workers hope that the Trade Union will continue to implement models of caring for the lives of workers so that more and more workers can benefit.
