Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kume Kunihide said that Japan currently has 142 enterprises investing and operating in Dong Nai. The Japanese Business Association currently has 13 groups divided by industries and investment areas. Of which, the Dong Nai business group is the second largest among the 13 business groups of the Japanese Business Association.
Japanese enterprises expect that with advantages in location and scale of investment in transport infrastructure projects, in the future, Dong Nai will attract many Japanese investors in particular and FDI in general in the fields of services, urban areas, logistics, etc.

Sharing information on the socio-economic situation as well as the province's investment attraction policies, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung said that Dong Nai currently has 37 established industrial parks (IPs), with a total area of over 13,000 hectares, of which 31 IPs are in operation, 5 newly established IPs, and 1 IP is in the investment and construction phase. Dong Nai is currently attracting 48 countries and territories to invest, with a total of over 1,700 projects, and a total registered investment capital of over 36 billion USD.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Japan is currently the second largest country in terms of the number of projects and the third largest in terms of total foreign investment capital in Dong Nai with 285 projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly 6 billion USD. Japanese enterprises have contributed significantly to the socio-economic development, creating jobs for workers; promoting the development of local industry, trade, and services, especially the supporting industry of Dong Nai province in recent times.

Dong Nai province has also established the Kansai Desk (now renamed the Japan Desk) with assigned functions and tasks such as: receiving and answering questions from Japanese investors about procedures for granting work permits, investment procedures, and job registration to learn about information and investment opportunities in Dong Nai; exchanging information with the Pacific Resource Exchange Center (PREX) about the Human Resource Development Program for the manufacturing industry in Dong Nai province. In addition, Dong Nai is also interested in organizing dialogue conferences with businesses, organizing investment promotion activities, and trade promotion in Japan to provide information to attract investment, answer questions and difficulties of businesses, etc.

Along with economic connection and development activities, people-to-people diplomacy activities between Dong Nai and the Japanese people are increasingly strengthened and promoted.
Dong Nai hopes that through the meeting, the Japanese Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City will have more information about Dong Nai province to serve as a basis for opening up new development cooperation opportunities between Dong Nai province and Japanese partners.
