On June 3, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy said that in recent days, there has been a form of fraud asking candidates to transfer money to receive notice of admission to postgraduate courses.
Fraudulent requests for credit card and security information
According to the school representative, there are currently some people impersonating post office and school staff calling and sending messages (SMS, Zalo, messenger...) to candidates asking them to access the money transfer link to receive the exam notice.
At the same time, candidates are required to provide credit card information and security information (password, OTP code...) for verification before receiving the exam notice or candidates are required to transfer money to another account to receive the notice and many other fraudulent acts...
According to the school, when submitting the application, the candidate has transferred the full registration fee (the cost of sending the exam notice and admission notice to the candidate via post according to the express mail service package).
Therefore, the Graduate Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy recommends that candidates absolutely do not access links or scan QR codes of unknown origin sent via email, text messages (SMS) or social networks that scammers send to candidates.
Never provide confidential information (credit card information, password, OTP code) to anyone in any form.
Candidates can only contact and receive information through the official channels of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy (electronic admissions portal, school fanpage - with blue check mark...)
Up to this point, any candidates who have not received the notice of admission to the postgraduate entrance exam need to contact the school's postgraduate training department directly on the morning of June 6 to be reissued a second time.
