Storm No. 3 passed through, leaving behind serious consequences, significantly affecting the lives of people in the province. With early initiative, along with urgent and drastic direction of the District Party Committee, District People's Committee, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, Song Lo district quickly deployed many synchronous measures to proactively and be ready to respond to natural disasters. Therefore, in the district, there were no human casualties, minimizing property damage.
Right from the time when storm No. 3 was about to make landfall, the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Song Lo district issued many directives and telegrams on proactively and urgently implementing storm response. In the days after the storm, due to the impact of storm No. 3, heavy rain, combined with floods from upstream, the water level of the Lo River rose above alert level II, locally isolating many residential areas, flooding 510 households and causing damage to over 920 hectares of rice and crops in the entire district. In that situation, Song Lo district reviewed and assessed the situation, promptly directed and commanded response work.

The District Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control has directed units and localities to focus on responding to the risk of floods and landslides; closely monitor forecasts and warnings of heavy rain, floods, inundation, flash floods, and landslides; promptly inform authorities and people to proactively prevent, respond, and minimize damage. Prepare human resources, equipment, and materials to be ready to respond to storms according to the "4 on-site" motto.
The police, army, youth, militia, disaster prevention and control shock troops, and grassroots security and order protection forces have proactively coordinated and cooperated, performing well the tasks of providing information and warnings about natural disasters and floods; helping people to reinforce their houses; moving assets and urgently evacuating 764 households with over 2,600 people; performing well the tasks of ensuring security, order, traffic safety, and safety in flooded areas.
In addition, Song Lo district also pays special attention to relief work, taking care of people's lives, providing food and drinking water, receiving relief from units, groups and individuals, and delivering it directly to flooded and isolated households.
Immediately after the water receded, in order to quickly overcome the consequences of rain and flood, and soon stabilize people's lives, the district's police and military forces coordinated with local sectors, organizations, and inter-family groups to urgently help flooded households clean up their houses, collect mud and soil, treat the environment, and focus on supporting people to harvest rice and vegetables with the motto "green house is better than old field"; to avoid waterlogging and rotting.
With the close and drastic direction of the Party Committee, the government, the District's Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, and the spirit of urgency and quick overcoming of consequences, all activities in the district have gradually stabilized and returned to normal life./.
